by prologos inin the "what does the bible really teach" book, an attempt is made to illustrate the nature of satans challenge, as it explains suffering allowed to prove jehoahs' souvereignty.
on page 110 is given the illustration of a bright kid stepping up to the blackboard to show the elderly teacher (probably head of the teacher union chapter) * a more elegant way to solve those equations.
wt equates that situation to satans challenge.

non believers what if your wrong ?
by unstopableravens ini do not wish to debate anything here like i have said in the past i have much respect for most on this forum (believers and non believers) i am simply wondering if the atheist or non god believers every worry about what if your wrong?
it seems that many who were jw for so many years attach jehovah/yahweh with the watchtower and since the wt is wrong than god does not exist.
i ask this question only because i care about people and salvation thats why i want to help as many as possable come out of this cult,and since i truly believe in god i dont know what is in the cinscience of those who dont.

I've been going through the results,and breaking them down to make different comparisons. The numbers aren't high enough to get some definitive trends, but what we have already is interesting. I wanted to see if there was a difference in the number of believers/non-believers/haven't-made-up-their-mind believers according to the following categories :
- dissassociated
- disfellowshipped
- fading (no longer attending meetings)
- fading (still attending meetings)/regular publisher
- never baptized
And these are the results I got :
(The first graph shows the actual numbers, the second shows the percentages)

What JWs did you know that were fanatical freaks?
by jemba ini just mentioned in another post about a bro that wouldnt shake hands with anyone because it was of pagan origin.. another bro collected fossils that he would show in the ministry for some stupid creationist reason, everywhere he went he talked about jehovah, jehovah, jehovah, no one wanted to work with him, in the workplace or on field service.
his own wife would hide somewhere when he started his incidental witnessing at shops or on the street.. dont get me started about some of the fruit loop parents and what they put their kids through in the name of jehovah.. what freaks stand out in your memory as fanatical jws?.

How about those that took it to the letter that you had to reach everyone with the 'message'?
Preaching in high rise buildings meant taking the elevator, and certain ones couldn't bear to miss this golden opportunity, especially when the elevator was full :
"Good afternoon everybody! I'm preaching the good news of God's Kingdom and my friend here has some wonderful magazines s/he is longing to give you..."
Noticing a certain reluctance from the partner in question :
"Come on, open your bag and give some magazines to the nice ladies and gentlemen..."
Oh the shame of it. I just wanted to curl up and disappear in the corner of the elevator - every time!
