one nights deposit (credit card, money order, etc.,) is required, and should be sent to the hotel within ten days of making your reservation.
To add insult to injury, the list is posted on the board and you are instructed not to make copies or take photos of the list. The group of people ganged up around the list after the meeting reminds me of cows gathering around a bale of hay that has been tossed to them from a truck.

there is no definite article in the greek before the word god in john 1:6, yet the wt translates it god, with a capital g!.

Scroll down in the link to the sub-heading "A surprising discovery." There they mention that the NWT has God's Name 237 times, and the main reason given by the WT is that they are simply restoring it to OT quotations.
The "surprising" part (according to the writeup), is that 125 of those 237 occurrences are not based on an OT quotation.
JWs are being told that the WT is simply restoring the Divine Name where it had originally been in the OT quotation found in the NT. But in fact, slightly better than half of the insertions have nothing to do with the OT.

Here is a link that analyses the use of the Tetragram in the NT portion of the NWT. The WT explanation is that where an OT citation included the Tetragram, the NT writers would have surely used it also. The analysis on the link provides some interesting conclusions that are hard to derive from just the KIT.

i have noticed an apparently increasing number of men who are not interested in becoming ministerial servants or elders.
i also know of some that have voluntarily stepped down (which is my case) for no obvious solid reason.. i remember, during my teenage years or even during my twenties, the brothers were always looking forward to being appointed... although many still do, i have noticed there are many others with whom you do not know what the deal is.. since there is no freedom of speech within the organization, we remain in the dark about the motives and desires of everybody else.
i attend a congregation with only two ministerial servants, while it is full of men who do not seem to be willing to do more.. it is hard to tell exactly what is going on, since honesty is not possible while you are inside, but i am starting to think that more and more are becoming disillusioned.... .

Agreed. The irony for the WT is their claim to being different from the rest. And yet, the passage of time has the same effect on them.

i'll restrain myself from commenting on jw.org's perversion of this scripture - i'll leave that to others.. however, for lurkers and active witnesses here, why not ask one of your local glorious ones to explain how these non-scriptural words found their way into the silver sword, but don't appear in the original greek, or even in the kingdom interlinear.. (2 corinthians 9:13) "through the proof that this relief ministry gives, they glorify god because you are submissive to the good news about the christ, as you publicly declared, and because you are generous in your contribution to them and to all.".

im recalling a time when i sat and circled words in a watchtower article, indicating strongly the fact that it is in fact the writters opinion.. however just the suggestion in the sentence these words are ignored.. for example.
it is our understanding.
we believe this to be the case.
It is interesting to compare WT literature paragraphs which use qualified (aka 'weasel') wording, with the questions that often accompany the paragraphs. It is not uncommon for the question to want the reader or audience to make a definite assertion to what the paragraph is only tentative about.
