  Has China Already Become the Equal of the USA - superseding the Knorr/Franz March of World Powers?

  i would personally say, this was going to happen, but not quite yet.

  but then i noticed this recently published story in the south china morning post (a newspaper once owned by rupert murdoch, but now owned by jack ma, one of china's richest men).. quote:.

  Incidentally, China just launched their second carrier. Apparently they intend to give the US a run for its money, especially where Chinese interests prevail.

  The Chinese are also about to deploy a new rode mobile ICBM (DF41) that reportedly has (up to) 10 warheads. They claim the missile has the range to be able to hit any target in the northern hemisphere. I don't know how many they intend to deploy, but it wouldn't take too many before they would be the equal of the US and Russia in that category.

  I think Russia and China foresee a super Eurasian economic block that effectively isolates the US, both militarily and economically. They are building both the infrastructure and defensive capability to make that a reality within the next couple of decades.

  China's military, although mostly still a regional power, is fast developing technologically. In a regional war, in China's backyard, the US would have its hands full.

  If nukes got involved, the Chinese can do some very heavy damage to the US, even though their arsenal is much smaller.

  In Daniel chapter 11, the "king of the North" is always spoken of as an individual, not a nation or empire.

  Is JWdotOrg still doing a play by play of the proceedings? I was wondering if they are including this testimony from these former members. As it is, they usually wipe all memory of such ones away. For example, if they have their picture in a pub or as part of an illustration, they are eventually replaced with someone else.

  Go bags?

  i heard recently that there was a talk given at the kh about having a 'go bag' ready because the big 'a' must be soooo close as evidenced by syria and the russian jobo thing.. does anyone know if this 'go bag' thing is substantiated in publications or just a local nut job being paranoid and attention seeking?.

  i also wonder about this 'go bag' thing, apparently, you need to make sure your biscuits (that's cookies to my over the pond friends), are not out of date.

  don't carry water, it's too heavy.. too many questions do i have.

  As dropoffyourkey said,the WT was only selling it a disaster prep kind of thing. This is something recommended by the authorities, especially in areas that face regular situations like hurricanes. I would guess that associating it with the GT is something being done locally.

  I find it interesting that Russia had the wherewithal (S-400 system) to shoot down some of the Tomahawks and the advance warning, but let the raid continue.

  They might not have had enough inventory of S-400s in Syria to take them all out, but they certainly could have blunted the attack. The Russians also have a jamming system in place. I wonder if that would have had any effect on the Tomahawk's guidance (see here).
