  I Didn't 'Get It' at First, Until I Got There......

  if jehovah's witnesses, which number about 7 million right now, are a small subset of the religious world today, what does that make former jw's?

  as with any unique group, you have to be one to totally understand, esp if you were neck deep in it at one time.

  when i first left, all i wanted to do was say the things i never had a chance to when i was in.

  All valid and true, however, lets not forget that there are very many of our beloved Brothers and Sisiters who are still trapped in a mindset from which they need to partake of what to us is now milk.

  I spent 10 years of my life after fading, but still believing the JW propogander, 10 years of living suicide with the belief I was damned and about to be destroyed, just happening on a relevant post whilst accidentally browsing this forum could even save a "failed" brothers life, so dont let us underestimate the help we can still be giving outsiders to this forum.

  Heres what I think the trinity is all ablout.

  Satan put himself in the position of God, he wanted all mankind to worship him as God. For this he will be judged and condemned.

  So, he is trying to put Gods favourite son Jesus, into the same position, by getting "Christians" to worship Jesus as God, that way at the judgement he can point at Jesus and say, "how can you condemn me when Jesus is doing the same thing, accepting worship that is only due to God himself.

  I belive this is why Jesus says he wil say to many, "get away from me you workers of lawlessness, I never knew you", why else would Jesus be so cruel as to turn away people who genuinely thought they where following Jesus, unless he had no choice to not accept thier worship for the reasons I have given?

  if you were a jehovah's witness have you "reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by christendom"?.

  Not one of them have I gone back too, I dont consider Christendom doctrines are actually reffering to the God of the Bible, more like all the Pgan Triune Sun gods.

  Hense, I still consider the JWs are a lot closer to the truth, than any other religion, doesnt mean they are the correct religion though, seems to me they have either fallen asleep, run out of oil, or have taken to worshipping themselves which is pretty much what happened to Gods orignal people, the Jews.

  Or, Satan has a religion for everyone, if you really want the truth, he will fix up a religion for you that has masses of real truth, along with a tiny but very deadly lie that is.

  What exactly is a relasionship with God?

  growing up and jw and being around them all my life i constantly heard the expression "a relasionship with god".

  this always confused me, because how do you have a relasionship with someone that doesn't talk back to you after praying?

  this was always rationalized as god talks back to you when you read the bible.

  I had morphine once, when I had a burst appendix, suddenly the pain was gone and I felt really really good, I think I started singing or something.

  I remember taking a strong ampethemine once, it felt like life, good powerfull life, was suddenly coursing through my veins, that made me feel good.

  It may not be the best analogy, and its probably a bit blaspemous as well, but its the best I could come up with, that discribes an externaly administered reaction to prayer, that brings such a profound feeling in your body and mental high.

  however, at conception (life) blood is not present until much later as the fetus developes.

  blood is an organ.

  now if "life" starts without blood, then is life really in blood?.

  I do feel there might be some validity in the statement.

  You see God breathed life into the nostrils of Adam.

  Now what does blood do?, it carrys around oxygen to the parts of the body, and when you cut off that blood/oxygen/life supply, the affected body part dies very quickly, so in effect, yes, Life is in the blood and the blood gets that "life" from the lungs which is the very place God put it in the first place.

  TT2C, no, not really, in fact back in the day, Ive actually asked Jehovah to take away his Holy Spirit so I can calm down and get some sleep, its more like somebody has a syringe full of Morphine or strong amphepetemines that they inject into you and you feel wonderfull inside, another way I used to put it was it felt like God was tickling you from the inside.

  Thanks Loz, do you feel it?, I was supprised to find how few JWs seem to have ever experienced such a relationship with God, when I first mentioned this to another older sister who had "come in", she slammed the brakes of her car so she could turn around in astonishment and say, "so you feel it too, I thought I was the only one".

  Visit from anointed

  so tonight i get to be graced by the presence of one of the anointed.

  last time he visited to help me i told him that i have a problem with the 1914 date.

  now obviously every single aspect of this date is wrong, but i started off by asking how come they end it in 537 instead of 539, when the king of babylon obviously received his punishment in 539, as foretold by jeremiah.

  Ask him why, if the annointed are the recepters of the "new light" as it gets dispensed, how come we are seeing annointed get disfellowshipped when they try and reveal this new light, especially when it reveals 1914 to be an error.

  How can Jehovah make things right if the GB act the same as the Sanhedrin and stone to death any prophet whose message they dont like?

  Makes them seem more like the evil slave than the faithfull and discreet one.

  Holy Spirit, God doesnt speak back to you when you pray, but when you have that relationship, you know he is there and listening when he gives you Holy Spirit, its like a little tap that gets turned on inside you as soon as you pray, not a particularily good analagy, buy like a tap that when its turned on, dispenses Morphine, if youve ever had it, you will knw what I mean when I say it makes you feel really nice inside.

  Is worship deserved?

  anyone know the jw explanation for this:.

  so supposedly, god exists outside of space and time.

  or, god wasn't created and didn't create itself, it just always was, or something.... ignoring any logical issues for a moment, if this is true, why does it deserve any worship for this?.

  JWF, the Startrek episode you seek is called "Who Mourns for Adonais", one of the first epidosodes followed a similar theme where two or the crew become gods and is called "where no man has gone before".
