Last night I had this dream ...

last night i had this dream: i was walking through a beautiful garden.

i came upon a statuary image of christ.

it was in a shaded alcove surrounded by a beautiful trellis entwined with wild vines of flowering bougainvillea.

Trouble is, most people dont have your depth of vision to see how beautifull the actuality is.

it's the 11th anniversary of the attacks on the world trade center in new york city.

the media here in the u.s. are repeating taped interviews of survivors.

i have no problem with that; it was a tragedy we shouldn't forget.

I read recently Iran was behind 911 as well, so maybe we better go to war with Iran, after that it will be Syria, then maybe they will discover North Korea did 911, better go to war with them as well, anybody see some sort of pattern forming here?

i just looked to see if this video is still on the official jehovah`s witness website "keep yourselves in gods love " ( deaf and sign language # 22 ) and it is.

notwithstanding whether it is appropiate for signers to be explicit or not, depending on what signage they use, the real question should be, why are the governing body of jehovah`s witnesses so concerned that their members are masturbating or not.it is not an issue in the bible .why are they delving into something that quite frankly does not concern them ?.

All religions are there to put people off of God, this doctrine of man is particularily good at making people feel God couldnt possibly love them, hense, they lose their love of God.

It was one of the reasons I left the Dubs, feeling I was disqualified.

And even worst, I once read in one of the mags about even Pioneers feeling that their hard Spiritual work meant they felt they could get away with taking Blood transfusions and Masturbating, so their it was, masturbating is put in the same basket of sin as blood transfusions!

So, where did this lead my reasoning?

That if I had a child who needed a blood transfusion or die, Iam going to let it die in order to please God, yet couldnt resist something as little as pulling the pud, what sort of evil hypocrite would that have made me, (even though I have no kids, but the priciples the same), so off I went!

by all accounts this video has gone viral on the internet ,generating much discussion as to the appropriateness or not, of this subject in a religous forum for the deaf people,which can also be veiwed by anybody else on the official website , jw.orb....deaf sign language....gods way is love.....scroll down to #22 and their you have it.

why did they do it in the first place.. the bible in christendom is generally accepted as being 66 books in total in protestant circles , catholic , eastern orthodox , etc .have a few more that they may refer to.

these writings are in general accepted as the inspired word of god given to his people over a period of some thousands of years .. in all these inspired writings over thousands of years has their ever been anything specifily stated ,condemning masturbation as a sin or anything wrong about it .. if the almighty god didn`t see the need to comment on the subject who are the wtb&ts to make a video about it .. and lets look at a few facts here:.

The Wanking Deaf Vs. Jehovah's Witnesses

Schadenfreude needs to be sincere to be funny. It's what made "Chocolate Rain" hysterical and everything Tay Zonday did afterward crap. Because self-awareness is the plague of the internet. And plagues never made anyone smile.

"Everyone's self-aware these days though," you say. Well, no. There is still at least one group that doesn't understand what Reddit is. That group is the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the internet's meme-hunters have just caught wind of a Church-affiliated video that discourages deaf Jehovah's Witnesses from turning to that most shallow of pleasures, masturbation.

The video is essentially a couple of different signers emotively pleading with the viewer not to crack one off, and because sign language isn't the most politically correct of dialects, they do this through all of the most obvious gestures that signify masturbation, married to a bunch of guys miming orgasms.

With its dismissive wank gestures and air boob cupping, the overall effect resembles some kind of crude road rage dispute carried out through shut car windows. The fact that the signal for female masturbation looks a bit like a gang sign with its downward-facing V shape only adds to the feeling that you might have just cut up the wrong Cadillac on Compton Boulevard.

Needless to say, a bunch of YouTube comedians have fired up Windows Movie Maker and given us their own mashed up versions of the original. The song choices range from the depressingly obvious ("Ignition Remix"), to the obvious yet still hilarious ("I Touch Myself"), and the pointless meme doubling ("Gangnam Style").

While it's all very amusing, I was intrigued as to what the video's real message was. From what I could tell by the signer's expressions, the Jehovah's Witnesses are of the belief that masturbation sends you into a state of unparalleled sexual ecstasy, but all the research suggested the Church was very much in the "save it for the real deal" camp.

I decided to call up my local Jehovah's branch, but was informed I couldn't speak to the elder there—not because he was unwilling to talk, but because he was deaf (an irony so thick you could choke a blue whale on it).

Eventually I was redirected to a spokesman named Mark Holman.

VICE: Hi, I was wondering if I could discuss a video that’s gone viral recently?
Mark Holman: Yes, of course, what video is this? Is it on our website?

Great. Well, the video is specifically aimed at deaf Jehovah’s Witnesses and it warns them about the dangers of masturbation.

OK, firstly, as a Jehovah’s Witness, what are your views on masturbation?
Well, we always go on the Bible’s view, which is that it is something that we should try to steer away from. Masturbation is not something we would suggest doing. We just encourage positive things.

So is masturbation an official "sin"?
It’s not officially a sin, but if you think of it as sinful then you shouldn’t do it. We don’t really refer to things as "sins"; if you have a good moral compass and love for the Lord then your actions will be pure. We do not encourage selfish activity.

Is masturbation one of the more selfish things you can do?
I don’t see how it can be a non-selfish activity, by its very nature.

Are there any specific parts of the Bible I should study to help combat onanism?
Galatians 5.22 and 5.23 are good bits.

That is my job and my faith.

Um, is it true that masturbation can send you blind?
As a member of the Church, I don’t know. Certainly, there have been instances. Apparently. You would have to check with someone in the medical profession.

Is there medical evidence?
It would be worthwhile checking that out for yourself.

The video is specifically aimed at stopping deaf people masturbating. Are the deaf particularly at risk from the dangers of masturbation?
I’m guessing it must be hard to have such a disability, so the Church in America may have identified them as an "at risk" group. I don’t know if I am qualified to comment on that.

What advice would you give to any Jehovah’s Witnesses who felt the need to masturbate?
Well, I wouldn’t give advice. It’s expected that people can exercise control themselves. To some I might say read a book to take your mind off it, for others this might not work. Hobbies are always good. It just depends on the person.

Cool. Have you heard of the pop singer, Prince?
Yes, I have. He is a Jehovah’s Witness.

He's quite vocal about how much he likes to masturbate. In fact, he apparently had two ribs removed so he could self-fellate. What do you think of that?
That’s disgusting. I don’t know if that’s true.

Is he a bad Jehovah?
It is down to personal choice. He has a different lifestyle to most people. He’s a little odd.

Do you like his music?
Yes, I do.

We have our own, specially composed music to suit whatever occasion we need.

Is it good?

Although I'm not 100 percent sold on the religion's views on the issue, it doesn't really affect me because I have never actually masturbated. So maybe there's still hope for me to find my route to God.

Just because man doesnt know the genetic descendants of such, doesnt mean God doesnt know, they are not lost to him.

Then the great crowd is chosen from all the rest of mankind and is without number.

so there was this great gang of us, from south london, manchester and wolverhampton, went to socialise with a group in fishguard in wales.. amongst the conversations one of the single sisters stated, "i could never marry anybody who used to be in the world".. i guess a lifetime of knocking on doors had given her the impression there couldnt possibly be a convert in her midst, never mind later alone with her in her mgb.. so whats with this, did you think we had rat scabies or were possesed by demons or something?.

Dont forget, you've also got the loving Spiritual advice from the older members guiding the choice of younger ones.

I was'nt even baptised when a Sister started to court me, I had just come in from the world so had no concept of "damaged goods", however, the mature sister who was studying with me warned me off her as she had done one solitary slip from perfection, so I was warned that Jehovah wouldnt bless me if I married her, that I would soon meet a good Spiritual sister.

Out of obedience to God therefore, I stopped the courtship, I was new and just doing what I was told, didnt know of the JW Caste system back then.

Ths shoe was on the other foot when some years later I met that super spiritual sister and really fell for her, she was warned off me by the Elders as though I hadnt done anything wrong, I wasnt a pioneer so wasnt deemed good enough for her.

How about:- "SATANS WITNESSES"

after all, they have spent the last 100 years announcing and promoting a "Kingdom" that was "written in stone", namely, the Great Pyramid that even they admitted was a Satanic device, (though still kept their ties to it).

Gods Kingdom certainly never arrived in 1914, but if Satans "New World Order" arrives using the UN/League of Nations as its vehicle, well that was certainly birthed as the result of 1914 events.

The JWs main doctrine is the promotion of a Kingdom birthed in 1914, the signs so far indicate it more likely to be Satans than Jehovahs.

Now another difficulty I had as a convert, but that was due to my own attitude, well, once a blunt Northern Sister said to me, "you've got no personality".

And to a certain extent, in certain situations, she was right.

See, in the world, especially the mans world of mechanics and military, male bonding in the form of crude behaviour and banter, play aggression and pretend bravado, shapes ones character and behaviour.

Then of course when you come in the "truth", suddenly you have to put on the "new personality", everything about you is wrong, all the other JWs in ones own eyes seem to be angelic perfect, they dont even masturbate!, hell, in the Navy it was etiquette to have a pile of dirty books to entertain guests with, thing is, what is this new personality?

Basically, you leave behind your worldly self and try to pretend your a Jehovahs Witness without actually knowing what to do, especially in a social setting, and even more so where Sisters are concerned, you do feel unclean, maybe thats one of the reasons us converts, especially when new, may seem a bit too zealous, thing is, its the only way we are shown how to behave as a dubb.

Its like you have moved to a foriegn country where you are afraid to let your hair down for fear of breaking some unknown custom or tabboo.
