  well i spent a few weeks putting this one together it took sooooo much longer than i thought it would, but as you know, a few of us many of us on jwnet spend way too much time fighting the "watchtower power" hehe.

  here's a couple paragraphs:.

  I ran into an inactive JW at the store we talked for 20 minutes

  i ran into an inactive jw at a department store last night and we talked for 20 minutes easily, it was actually pretty fruitful.

  so here's what happened:.

  i see him and recognized him but he didn't know who i was at first as he hasn't seen me in at least a year and i've lost weight, have a goatee and dress way more awesome than i ever did as a dubb schlubb.. so i said hi to him by name and he says, who are you i'm not sure?

  do they think we will die forever and that we are controlled by satan?

  Some Christians have gone astray by getting too involved in business activities, by cultivating close friendships with worldly associates

  We must also be on guard against extended association with worldly people. Perhaps it is a neighbor, a school friend, a workmate, or a business associate. We may reason, ‘He respects the Witnesses, he leads a clean life, and we do talk about the truth occasionally.' Yet, the experience of others proves that in time we may even find ourselves preferring such worldly company to that of a spiritual brother or sister. What are some of the dangers of such a friendship?

  "Our choice of associates.Of course, some contact with unbelievers-such as at school, at work, and when sharing in the ministry-is unavoidable. It is quite another matter, though, to socialize with them, even cultivating close friendships with them. Do we justify such association by saying that they have many good qualities? "Do not be misled," warns the Bible. "Bad associations spoil useful habits." (1 Cor. 15:33) Just as a small amount of pollution can contaminate clean water, friendship with those who do not practice godly devotion can contaminate our spirituality and lead us into adopting worldly viewpoints, dress, speech, and conduct."

  this is not "apostate" literature per say...this is straight from one of their books...bible teach book.

  A fully deluded JW can deny ANY and ALL accurate true info .

  Sensible advise is to cool it for now. I know its hard once you know TTATT .

  Curious About My Disfellowshipping.

  i recently read an interesting thread (is there a 'third' way to leave?

  ) that talked about fading instead of being df'd or da'd.

  i myself had planned to fade, but was df'd instead.

  If you don't defend yourself or appeal you can be Dfed for ANYTHING 3 elders agree on .

  The forum member "flipper" successfully defended himself by appealing . He won .

  in other words crazy jw logic .like.

  one jw mother recently told her son " even if you did have proof it wasn't the truth, i wouldn't want to read it".

  My wife just told me to move out...

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

  Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

  thw wts likes to play games with their statistics.

  one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?

  if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.
