4th generation! SO awesome to break that chain. I hear you about the nightmares and crazy post traumatic stuff. It gets better the deeper your journey into educating yourself goes. We are going to carry baggage, but hey are children are going to have a chance at normalcy! So glad you popped in on this forum. It is an amazing place with some great people. Assembly Talks... Are these assigned based on the thickness of the envelope?
by Calebs Airplane infrom talking to several fading jws over the years, it really does appear that assembly talk assignments are usually given to those pos who consistently hand over the thickest envelopes to the co at the end of his week-long visits.
if the envelope was too thin (or there was no enevelope at all), chances are that no one in that congo would get an assemby talk assighnment.
also, if the co and his wife were treated well or taken to expensive restaurants during their visit, that apparently increased the po's chances of getting an assembly talk assignment.

I saw elders who were horrible speakers but wealthy get assignments on the CA and DC. Also saw piss poor elders that were excellent speakers get the parts. And then there were pioneers on welfare and government assistance that were not great speakers but had the Pioneer badge. I guess it takes all kinds. I was offered parts, generally symposium arrangements and declined several times. Eventually the offers did not come. I was neither rich, poor, or a pioneer. Damn good speaker though. I guess thats to be expected when trained like a robot since the age of 3.

What were your favorite assembly foods?
by NoRegrets inso i'm young enough to not remember having hot prepared meals at assemblies, but heard all about it from my parents and the like.
but what i do remember were all of the cold sandwiches and institutional snacks and soda.

by RayPublisher ini had the pleasure of conducting a telephone interview with "truth be told" filmmaker gregorio smith yesterday.
he is a fascinating, intelligent person and has an intimate knowledge of the destructiveness the watchtower society has wreaked upon people's lives due to shunning, the blood ban, etc.. some two years in the making, this full-length documentary film entitled "truth be told" seeks to expose the watchtower for what it is.
a debut screening for the public will take place in brooklyn new york on march 27, 2013. other major cities will follow.

The CO asked for money tonight at the meeting.
by life is to short ini was shocked i do not know why as i have read that the co's were doing this but to hear it with my own ears was unbelievable.
i do not go to the meetings but my husband still does and this week is the co's visit.
i decided that i would listen in to his talk; i swear i have lost some brain cells by doing it but anywho.. he started out by talking about the old story that has been in the wt many times about a little boy who was seven and raised a chicken and gave the money to the society.

by wha happened? inwhen i saw this posted on andersoninfo's thread, i was wondering what i missed:.
the watchtower bible and tract society of australia, both directly and through the resources of the religion of jehovah's witnesses, then launched an unprecedented wave of non-stop vicious persecution and attacks on both myself and my family.
they have not stopped.

Former Elder Michael J Norris IN CUSTODY
by Tylinbrando infbi and santa barbara agents arrested michael at the airport.
he is locked up in santa barbara county jail.
he awaits bail hearing and i intend on presenting evidence to revoke his $250,000.00 bail.. thanks to everyone for your encouragement and support!.
