  30-minute Public Talk = More association ???

  it's been nearly 5 years since the letter was read at the end of the service meeting.

  the society would lovingly decrease the public talk to a brief 30 minutes, eliminating the 15-minute doom-and-gloom introduction and thereby resulting in lower heating and air-conditioning costs allowing for more "association" after the meeting.... for those who still go to meetings... do you find that there is any more association with the 30-min public talk when compared to the former 45-min public talk?.

  for the past year and a half i have been deeply immersing myself in the community which you refer to as the apostates: the ex jehovahs witness community.

  it just blows me away!

  a friendly group of young people came in the drive yesterday.

  they all got out with smiles and said that they were looking to put canned food into the "food bank," i assumed for people who need to eat.

  i wasn't sure what my wife could part with from the pantry but surely we could gather something for somebody who has much less!

  I was just pondering that very same thing on my threadhttp://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/224618/1/spilled-the-beans and I quote it here:

  The freedom from guilt that I feel is a gift like none other. It is helping me through my pain. I see people differently now. I don't see the walking dead but rather the good in people. I'm finding that I love people in general more now. I care more about others more than I ever did when I saw them as lost causes. In fact I want to get involved in charities now to help those in need. I complained and murmered about service. WHy? because it's not really helping. I wouldn't regret one second helping those in need even if I never get anything back. The day I realized the WT was a huge joke I went out driving to clear my head. I saw this old women in a wheel chair sitting in the median on the on ramp to the interstate. I stopped and gave her everything in my middle consol which was probably 3 dollars or so. I felt better about that little deed than all the preaching I ever did. Jesus said that giving is better than recieving and he is absolutely correct as long as you actually GIVE! As a brainwashed JW I always felt too guilty to dedicate myself to those kinds of persuits because that would take away from the preaching work. I think that many xJW's like myself are genuine and want to do good towards people not as an excuse to just go hog wild and go crazy. When your indoctrination stops you from helping people in real and tangible ways that should be a huge red flag!

  State of Victoria has announced that they will investigate ALL religions... including the Watchtower

  a friend just showed me a message from steven unthank on facebook where he mentioned (about 4 hours ago) that the state of victoria will be launching an investigation into all religions, including the jehovah's witnesses... he also mentioned that he will likely testify.. i don't know anything else about this because the message was brief, but i assume it has something to do with the protection of pedophiles.... has anyone else heard this yet?.

  This will only entreach all witnesses even further. I believe David Koresh said similar things to his diciples before the govt raided him too. The way i see it all Cults know they have a limited time to operate before they piss enough people off and then make predictable self prophesy to keep people in till the bitter end. Am I right or am I right?

  my question is how do you get a hold of stuff like the "finished mystery" "the divine plan of the ages" and other pertinent false doctrine that has been swept under the rug and locked in the coffers at wt headquarters?

  i feel so helpless because if i show my wife info on the net she will just write it off as apostate and altered like we have all been trained to think.

  really seems like they wanna snuff it out of existence. They say that its increasing light as we can handle it but why would 1874 or 1914 or any other date be any harder to handle? I've talked to witnesses about 1975 incident and they swear up and down the society never predicted anything but only that people were drawing their own conclusions and were stumbled by there own presumption and pushing ahead? Anyone care to quote specific publications that bare this out as false?

  I had to spill the beans because she confronted me and said she thought I was cheating on her because I've been so distant. She cried all night and I was hysterical as well. I tried to tell her about the origins of Wt dabbling in the occult but she doesnt believe me. I was too upset as well. It is no wonder people commit suicide because of this Cult. I also told her we are in a cult and that the patterns are there and that the patterns are universal for all cults but she refuses to listen. She said she will stay with me no matter what but her mother is coming up in 2 days and it will start all over again and I'll have 2 women yelling and threatening me. I really have thought about ending it all but my love and devotion to her keeps me from it. My prediction is her emotions will get the better of her and cause her to tell the elders then I will be shunned by my family for the rest of my life and stuck in a loveless marriage to a women I love madly. She denied that this is conditional love that they preach! The brainwashing runs very deep. This is not love it is hate and intolorence. I'm at work trying to hide my pain and I'm sure she is too. My heart is palpitating and I'm sweating. I feel like I'm going through drug withdraw.

I can't really substantiate anything really can I? I know that everyone isn't lying just because they are evil satanic Apostates but she doesn't know that. I guess this thread should be about how to prove from just the currently available literature and a bible that the doctrine a complete sham and a bag of lies. Do they have it trully locked down solid or are there holes in their rusty armor? How should I go about researching the info without it being officially Apostate?

  there are some repressed gay guys in our hall and it's very sad. They are very lonely. To think that they can't look forward to a relationship with anyone till this fantasy system comes is horrifiying. I feel the same for all the bitter women over 30 that have basically missed the bus on getting a man.

  The one holiday JW's have and they can't even partake!! One year when I'm finally out I'm gonna go and have me some wine cheese and crackers!

  They always brag about there being over twice as many that attend the momorial thinking that these are interested ones. I just don't buy that.
