I wanted to punch this elder so bad!

since i haven't gone in about 2 weeks, and i leave as soon as it ends, and elder decided to corner me at the end.
lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

please share your experiences with this, or possible consequences of being outed.. this recent controversy and resulting arguments all stem from people being outed - possibly losing friends and family because most jw's will blindly follow the watchtower's rules to shun them.. among people i know and experiences read here, the grief and loss caused by this is terrible, and maybe now is a good time to put up some experiences here, and put the focus on the worst villians of all - wt policymakers..

I have flatly refused to return to the meetings for over a year now and all my family including aunts, uncles, and cousins who couldn't have given a shit what I was doing before all blew up my phone to try and get me to spill my guts. They assumed I was doing something wrong. Now I'm down to my father sending me crazy religious gushing emails every few weeks on how I need to come back to the truth before I die in the big A. My wife has stopped going to the meetings but still believes and thinks I'm wrong but she won't go without me. We live in subtle and quiet isolated misery. I can't talk to her about the Truth about the Truth because she will automatically lock herself in the bathroom and throw up and sob uncontrollably. If ever they find evidence of my apostacy and get DF'd my entire dad's side of the family will shun me and I will be dead to them. My mother's side are all xJW's from the 70's and 80's and I"ll have them at least if they will have me because I've had to shun them while I was a witness. I'f I'm Outed as Apostate I will lose my marriage and financial stability. I will loss many business connections.
This religion is pure evil underneath its thin exterior. PURE EVIL!!!!!!

Why do JWs get married at a young age?

If you define magic as the sort of elemental magic in D&D, LOTR, and the Hobbit then its totally fiction. If you define it as misdirection, slight of hand, illusion, delusion and mind control then I'd say the Witchtower is sending out black magic by the truck load almost as if they are mount doom from mordor.

are we crazier than we used to be?
by Xanthippe inthere seem to be so many tv programmes about horders whose houses are filled with rubbish that they can't throw out, peope with claustrophobia or other phobias, people with depression or anxiety illness.
i am not being accusatory because i've had depression but i'm just wondering what on earth is society doing to us?.
has there always been this level of mental health problems and they are just being given a label now and help is finally being offered?

James Brown you have pointed out a painful reality in USA. We throw our crazy people in jail instead of giving them the very help that they desperately need. I think it is shameful to leave the mentally impaired on their own with no options. It is a shame on our culture when many of these disorders are treatable but only if you are well enough to have the sense to take them and have the money to avail yourself of it. It's a Catch 22 because these people usually can't keep a job in order to get insurance in the first place. I think many homeless ones today are in this situation and if only they got some needed help they could pull themselves out of that situation. :(

Not as well as gandalfs staff. it certainly wont help you defeat a balrog or dragons. that is to say leave magic to fantasy books where it belongs.
