Another brain washed victim to EVIL religious policy which has no scriptural backing whatsoever!! It sickens me to read stories such as these. What a waste of life.

I have known wives of COs who have had problems with depression and alcohol abuse. Of all the traveling overseers' wives that I have met and come to know, as many have stayed in my home while I was growing up, I can honestly say that I can think of only one who really enjoyed her role, she is in her 70s and she and her husband are still traveling. I just saw them a few weeks ago, she is still the "ball of fire" she has always been. She LOVES the ministry, especially working business territory. In my opinion, she does see her assignment as her "calling" I'd dare to say that women like her are few and far between!

All humans are God's children and just as normal human parents don't kill their children because they are disobedient so too the Almighty is not going to anhilate 6.5 billion people because wacky religion says they are being disobedient to Him.

Nathan Knorr, Grant Suiter, Raymond Franz, George Gangas, Carey Barber, and Lloyd Barry. I must say that Lloyd Barry really seemed like a normal fun loving guy with a great sense of humor Barber too was pretty down to earth. Knorr and Suiter were rather arrogant and self assuming. George Gangas seemed by far to be the most humble and seemed to sincerely believe everything he was preaching.

Are family heads regular with their family study?
by truthseeker inwhat percentage of family heads do you think actually have a weekly bible study with their family?.
the wt is keen to say that if you're not holding/participating in a family study, you're spiritually weak.. is having a family study a benchmark of whether or not you stay in the faith?.

I always had my study on Saturdays after field service. I have fond memories of those times not so much because of the material we studied but because it was quality time spent with my dad, which I believe played a major role in cementing the great relationship we have. My dad did make the study interesting though, it was not just question and answer but more of a real discussion in which any question was entertained and logically discussed. After our study we would do something fun such as go swimming, to the park to hit some balls, the zoo, sledding etc... then we would come home and the three of us would go out for dinner. My father really was the perfect role model. I love him dearly and equally so my lovely mother. The ONLY obstacle in my exiting this God forsaken religion are these two exceptional people. It will be so hard to not openly asscoiate with them. Now I'm getting off topic. To answer the question posed, our family head when I was growing up was regular with the family study.
