often, after having left the organization a person experiences.
a host of negative emotions regarding their life in the watch-.

Q
with the upcoming study of the old-new revelation book i thought it would be good to expand an article i had done on the watchtower's ability to understand bible prophecy.
it appears at http://jwfacts.com/index_files/revelation.htm i can not understand how anyone that knows of the number of changes the watchtower has made can believe jehovah's holy spirit directs the watchtower.
particularly interesting is the changes that have been made to the understanding of the 1260, 1290, 1335, 2300 and 2520 days that appears towards the end of this article.the current explanation of these are an embarrasment.
I really cannot believe the GB decided to expose, through a systematic study, throughout the next year and a half, all of those most embarrasing written "truths"!! I believe this will be real eye opener for many who are still on the fence about the validity of this organization as the "channel" God uses to communicate to mankind.
Q
nine year old grandson studying to be babtized.
any thoughts on this??
i think it is insane.
This is absolutely ridiculous!! I can't believe an elder body approving a 9 year old for baptism. How long has he been an unbaptized publisher? A month or two?
Q
i've just found out something that's going to be a massive thing in my congregation when it gets out.
it all starts with a former jw, who faded away probably about a decade ago, and then moved away, came out as a homosexual a few years ago.
he was never baptised, and he left so long ago, he never got chased up or disfellowshipped.
I have real empathy for anyone who is trying to "tow the line" between losing family and friends and living his/her life. I have a feeling the "double lifers" in this organization are a VERY large number.

hey all, i could really use some help.. i am looking for the proper way a parent might say to their child i love you in these languages.. spanish, french, italian.
i am definitely interested in other languages, gaelic, arabic, russian etc.
but many languages involved alphabet characters i am not familiar with.. i do know that there are online translators, babelfish etc.but i have found out the hard way, those are really not reliable, and i need to know as specifically as possible.. i am finding that unlike the english language, there might be one way to say i love you in a romantic manner and a way to say i love you in friendly, non romantic manner.
Greek: Se agapo = I love you, Se latrevo= I adore you

give a few examples in which the watchtower should stick to religion and mind it's own business in the internal affairs of it's members.. 1) whatever has to do with health and medical treatment.. 2) who you can marry and sex they can have.. add to the list..
Interpreting every single scripture in the book of Revelation to apply to them! Honestly, can they be more arrogant??
Q
for those still "in", how did this part go over in your congregation?
we actually had a brother raise his hand and comment that he could not explain to a doctor why we allow fractions and obey the command of levitucus to pour blood out on the ground.
i wonder how many others felt the same but did not have the never to comment openly?
Becca- The one who had the part tonite went overtime, we ended the meeting at9:25!!! My dad, the PO was livid! One of the old timers, elder too (80 yrs old, third generation) said after the meeting to me, "this is all nonsense, I'm from the old school, NO blood means NO blood." I said, "I believe life is a gift from God that should be cherished and appreciated which we show by guarding it with the utmost care." He said, "I can see your point" in a way that implied he thought I was being too shallow in my thinking. LIttle does he know that I am of the belief that since Christ gave his blood for our salvation, why shouldn't we give blood or recieve blood to save our own or our loved one's life? The Bible's prohibition of blood has NOTHING to do with transfusions. There is too much twisted reasoning, which in essence is utter nonsense when trying to imply that it should apply to transfusions!
Q
i'm curious ~ has anyone noticed how young elders are these days?
in my old congregation, 6 of our 8 elders were under the age of 30, one of them 23, unmarried.
the father being the p.o...ironically.
I was appointed at 29, I really wasn't reaching out, just humbly taking care of the "responsibilities" bestowed upon me. My dad was and is the PO, the other elders had tried to get him to agree to recommending me when I was in my mid twenties, but he wouldn't, he finally gave in when I was 29. I REALLY wish I could have had the courage to say I didn't want the "privelege" when the two elders approached me to tell me I had been appointed the night they were going to announce it! Come to think of it, I would have left the "truth" in my early twenties, but I did not want to hurt my parents and other relatives. I wish I could have been more selfish.
