You're probably correct, Lime, but I find it weird that when I posted this, it said there was a day and a half left until it went up again. Though here it is, two and a half days later, and it says 18+ hours until they go back up.

What will happen when JWActivists goes back online?
by okage inthe aawa website jwactivists is down for repairs or whatever, so here is my prediction of what it will be when it comes up:.
* the site will have removed all mention of jwn.
* the site will have revised their own history.. * the site will have a registry that will be contingent on confirmation of identity in relation to the wts, but will also limit the function and communication of naysayers of john cedars' only working organization on earth.. * privacy will not be addressed.

Constructive feedback for AAWA leadership (IMHO)
by besty in1 - reconsider your existence - there might be a reason why the most effective resources to date have been solo efforts.
2 - recognize that even well-intentioned organizations will firstly seek self-preservation.
3 - be aware that egos and emotional stupidity have torn apart much grander edifices than aawa.

"We don't ask everyone to support us-we just ask everyone to know that we are here." -Cedars
Sums up the entirety of the AAWA idea quite honestly. And if you say so, you get pwned by Cedars or Bo Juel.

Thank you Tylin. I've never successfully pulled off tongue-in-cheek before, so it makes me happy to hear it.
And taking away the sarcasm from my post, these would be functional suggestions. Cedars, whatever his current standing may be, wrote some great articles that should be consolidated onto the site. A confirmation based registry for the AAWA is helpful. Use some of those credible volunteers to do thorough background checks on applicants and supporters as it pertains to the JWs and their standing with the Watchtower Society.
But aside from that, I feel with Cedars burning bridges with a much larger and more established entity of ex-JWs and faders, the AAWA cannot thrive with him as the decision maker. It's in his fake name, so only an imaginary figure will feel the legal brunt of anything, should anything happen, but there is no obligation to have him as the head or the chief decision maker.
Maybe he can keep writing for the group, or be a liason (no promise I spelled that word correctly) for the AAWA with other interested businesses or support groups. But as a decision maker, he needs to know when to hold and when to fold, and he's made it evident that he doesn't know either one.
Much good can come out of the AAWA, I feel, but not when helmed by an imaginary man who refuses to out himself while showing no sympathy for those who were outed by a security breach on his watch.

* The donation button will be at least 20% bigger except there will be two, one for the local effort and one for the worldwide work.
* A library of Cedars' previous publications with new content edits that are supposedly for "accuracy."
* A special login section for AAWA members with more "privelages."These are my predictions. What do you think they are going to do to the site that needs maintenance after only a couple weeks?

GATED COMMUNITIES IN PUERTO RICO: ACCESS CODES and REMOTES must be provided to the WATCHTOWER CORPORATION by APRIL 23, 2013...
by Calebs Airplane inthis case is in it's 9th year an has been touched upon briefly on and off.. the latest from the federal court is that all gated communites in puerto rico have until april 23 to provide the watchtower corporation full access.... this means the entry code or remote control devices that open the front fence.. this is clearly an act of provocation in order to create "pseudo-persecution" thereby increasing fs hours and "voluntary donations"....

Okay, I was wrong about the Puerto Rican court comment, but that totally changes the point of the statement, right? All american courts are a sham, the only difference between my original statement and the corrected statement is that if it was Puerto Rico's courts, I expected better from them.
@Billy: That'd be awesome! Mormons taking the Society to court to allow them access to the residential dorms of Bethel so they could preach.

I feel the Court in Puerto Rico is a mediocre system without any credibility. See, if they knew what was going on with the JWs in the rest of the world, they would know that it's a slap in the face of basic morality to mandate giving potential pedophiles access to children in gated communities.
As well, those communities are gated for a reason. Residents tend to pay to not be acosted or harassed by people they don't know or didn't invite.
Finally, the argument that evangelizing door to door is part of their religious freedom is easily shot down by the scripture that Jesus said "do not go house to house." Anything contrary to their own scripture would be outside of doctrine and isn't recognized by the court as a religious expression.

@fizzywiglet: I've been saying for months that it seems like some people never really leave the Watchtower and I've been getting guff for it. Now that President Cedars of the Watchtower, um, Anti Watchtower, thing, is trying to silence abuse going on in his own organization (Watchtower Jr.), the JWN membership can see I wasn't just whistling Dixie.
In the span of a couple weeks, the AAWA has shown that it can't help people because it's run by people who aspire to be like a group known for victimizing people.
I stand by my idea that if the AAWA wants to survive, Fake Man Cedars needs to fall on his sword (metaphorically) and let someone else take over in the effort to show they aren't all a bunch of back-patting, self-congratulatory, one track glory hounds.
Under Cedars, they hurt a half dozen faders for every one that they help. Those odds are literally worse than going to an Elder with an issue.

@venetian: Never has a guy with "the button" been as hesitant to push it as Simon has. But you know, it's enjoyable when he finally does, because four warnings is five more than I'd give.

@RayPublisher Everyone makes missteps, but the mature people recognize those and try to do better. Currently, Cedars has made some missteps and is saying we need to get over ourselves if we think he should correct them.
He also just disassociated himself from JWN, though he probably sees it as disfellowshipping us from his organization.
Personally, you have a good inarguable point: join AAWA or don't. whatev's.
So THIS GUY over here has no quarrels with you.

@Watchtower-Free: The Governing Body are the End Bosses to the game.
Seriously though, the idea of the AAWA is right. Help those looking for an exit. Every single activist on this site has had that proposal, and right now, the AAWA is a legal entity supporting that idea.
Unfortunately, the decision maker doesn't want to fix a major issue that overshadows any pontential good they can do. If this is really about helping Witnesses find a safe exit out of the Society, Cedars should have no problem stepping down and letting one of the other members of the Board have a shot.
Yes, it's incorporated in his fake name, but that in no way obligates Cedars to be President of the group. He has proven in, what, two weeks that he cannot do what needs to be done for the good of his group, the good of the people he wants to help, or the good of the message.
It's not too outlandish a suggestion.
