To use their term, I'm DF. However, I was baptized at 16 and I now declared my baptism and subsequent DF null-n-void. I'm a born-in.

Do women like being checked out?
by MC RubberMallet inbefore, when men looked at a woman, they were fresh.. nowadays, when they don't look, they're gay.. i know each woman is different, so answers will vary, but in today's world, women react a lot differently to things that were once distasteful.. so which one is it?.

I appreciate a pleasant smile every now and then. If I'm dressed up, I wouldn't mind a catcall :)

The new kids DVD - was it deliberate? What are we missing?
by cedars in[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:worddocument> <w:view>normal</w:view> <w:zoom>0</w:zoom> <w:donotoptimizeforbrowser /> </w:worddocument> </xml><![endif].
normally i don't go in for these conspiracy theory ideas, but a comment by kurtbethel on another thread got me to thinking.
might this latest dvd actually be proof that there are operatives inside watchtower hq who are deliberately sabotaging the society's material?

When I was a kid, I got Indigo Bright, the black friend of Rainbow Bright. She came with a sprite. You guessed it. I had to throw the sprite away because it was a magical creature. (Incidentally, my mother still drank Sprite.) I just viewed one part of the video. It makes me so angry. Firstly, the kids are getting brainwashed. If they don't get out they will have problems as adults *points to self*. Secondly MAGIC DOES NOT COME FROM SATAN!!!! It's prolly no coincidence that Sparlock is close to warlock, a term considered derogatory to some pagans. Stuff like this makes me grateful that my kids do not have grow up as I did.

Introduction / My story
by theBGB inhello all, i've just discovered this site and i cant begin to describe how happy i am to have come across it.
i stumbled across this site purely by accident...seriously i was looking at arkham city walkthoughs and a few jumps later i end up here.
i though it was a legit society page at first and thought 'what the hell, this will be good for a laugh', but after reading a few posts well...i couldnt stop reading.

Thanks for the love! And Welcome. Born-in here too. It amazes me how someone can virtually introduce themselves and show love and understanding when my own mother cannot and will not. I'm getting teary-eyed again. Time for my prozac :)

Would you sacrifice yourself to save other people?
by Lore inhypothetically: .
you are in a room with two other people.
you barely know them, but they are kind of nice people.

1. not sure
2. I'm not healthy enough to be a donor but I've thought about donating my body to science, more specifically a body farm. If I were healthy enough to be organ donor, I honestly don't know.

by youngbro ini am feeling rather lazy.
has anyone got the answers for the oral review for this week?

I had forgot about the written review. It was every 3 months, right? Ugh. I can't imagine doing that now.

What did your personal big AHA moments look like when you saw through a LIE or suddenly understood a TRUTH?
by Fernando in"what is an aha moment?
it's a moment of clarity, a defining moment where you gain real wisdom - wisdom you can use to change your life.".

many aha moments
-one does not need a man who may or may not be real to connect to the Divine
-how a loving God can dictate that families divide
-how the JW doctrine has changed so many times but yet this is God's true organization
-I'm in the middle of reading CoC and I'm so hurt and angry and sad.
-I don't have many friends at all but the one true friend I had in high school is STILL my friend today. Guess what? She's "worldly". All the other JWs were talking about me; I wasn't even baptized. My "worldly" friend stuck by me. Yet, she is gonna be destroyed in Armadeggon? Yeah, ok.
-My husband is "worldly" yet he supports me in whatever I'm doing.
-Didn't Samuel or somebody consult a witch? And didn't David commit adultery? Solomon was a magician. All these things are against the bible yet these men are venerated. Sounds like double standards.
-The ultimate AHA: JW is a cult. Easy to get in, next to impossible to get out with your mental health intact. This again does not sound like a loving organization directed by holy spirit.

Does Anyone Know Anything About a New Request for Black Sisters at Bethel?
by OnTheWayOut inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cur3jfect5a.
.
it suggests that the gb has asked black sisters to go natural with their hair..
-
QueenWitch
Please tell me this is not true. Going natural is a personal choice. Yes, the chemicals are harmful and until more (black) women educate themselves and until our natural hair is accepted as being professional, we will continue to use these products to unnaturally straighten our hair. I have recently decided to go natural, mostly prompted by being laid off and not having $100 to spend on my hair.
OMGoddess, I'm so glad I'm not JW. So I suppose dreadlocks and braids are acceptable now? I mean, these hairstyles are best suited for natural black hair. I so want to ask my mother but she's not talking to me.
