D'Fd coming to the aid of a JW in good standing

no he's not my biological brother, nor has he ever been in the position to help me, we'v in the past have been out in the ministry togethor, very quite, single brother in his late 30's.

drives a little truck, he gives a ride to a specially challenged brother all the time, they never sit with each other as sister do that ride with each other to the hall, not a good speaker, reads with difficultly, sits in the back, only i quess has two suits, boots that are rounding out at the heals, a sign of walking in the city on concrete, always sits in the back looking in total peace, after the meeting stands alone in the back with a smile that tells you he's in total confidence not careing if the brothers just pass him up, real handshake, just a nice guy, getting to what i want to say.. we were moving and in the move i found hedgetrimmers and blower still in the box brand new, not even opened.

i had them for such a long time, never needing them, just keeping them stored along other 'junk' as wife calls it, keeping stuff just in case the tribulation comes so i won't have to depend on jw's when were hiding from the caos, that is determined to get jw's.. thought of him..,but didn't have his phone #.

Reminds me of a time a few years ago when I came into a large sum of money. My actively JW brother found out about it and sent me a seriously groveling email hoping I'd lend him some money to buy a car he needed (and he really did need it). I told him I'd just outright GIVE him the money, no strings attached. We had to meet covertly in a hidden corner of the public library so that nobody would see him receiving the check from me. It was ridiculous!

(He returned the favor a couple years later though: When my hubby's car died, my brother -- using that car I bought him - drove us both back and forth to our jobs for a couple weeks til we got another car)

i have a 1969 kit, so i just need to compare to see if there's been any changes between the two.

Because the Bibles are more expensive to print than the other literature, ergo they really don't want to have to print any more than is necessary.

Yup, that's right: The organization that promotes Bible readings is telling their membership to NOT offer Bibles on their tables all for the almighty dollar!

the petition is for launching an investigation to determine if jehovah's witnesses have a right to use coercion -- forms of mental torture -- to force its members not to leave.

this petition is going to the attorney general's office, department of justice, office of the high commissioner of human rights, and uscirf.

it needs a total of 5,000 signatures; as of this moment there are only 1,950. sign up and encourage others to sign up as well -- the watchtower society needs to be held accountable for their abuses and violations of human rights!.

Need scan of a Greber related letter

i keep finding references to the wts replying in a letter the following (a letter dated march 15, 1983) anyone know where i can get an actual scan of this?:.

no doubt you have had opportunity to read the comments in our letter dated december 31, 1982, to brother jack gottfried, secretary of your congregation.

in our letter we addressed the issue of the propriety of the society in quoting johannes greber's translation as an example of another translation that agreed with the new world translation.

I searched this forum, and I've been through Ken Raines's site. But all I get is quotes from the letter. I am looking for an actual scan of the actual letter. I'm updating a book I wrote last year and I need the scan to verify the quotes. Without an actual scan of the letter, I won't have supporting evidence of the words.
