Good work, misguided!
You asked about CDRP. I'm referring to my recent run in with WTS regarding me owning Watchtower.ca
One of the (SEVERAL!) things protecing my proper ownership is that I have not "engaged in a pattern of registering domain names in order to prevent [WTS] from access to them" as defined the CIRA's "Domain Name Resolution" (CDRP).
You can read more about how CDRP affected me at http://quotes.watchtower.ca/admin-news.htm#2005.02.11
As for what to do with it: log in to your domain name registar and change the settings so it points to any site that you want. If you used DomainsAtCost.ca, this is pretty easy to do; just log in and look around, you will figure it out. BTW, these changes can take 12-24 hours to propagate through the internet, so don't expect the change to happen instantly.
For example, you could set it up so if someone goes to CCJW.ca, it redirects to http://quotes.watchtower.ca (hint, hint, hint) or even here at JWD: www.jehovahs-witness.com.

JW versus Christian Sciencetolgy Similarities
by pratt1 in.
i just read some of tom cruises' comments on his belief cs and i found them disturbing.. not just his point of view, but it appears that his beliefs are black or white... no gray areas, every thought was so definite, almost final.. sounded a lot like the jw beliefs in that they are the only people who has it right and everyone else is wrong.. does anyone know any thing about christian scientolgy and are they similar in their beliefs to the dubs?

I'm no expert, but isn't it "Church of Scientology" (not Christian Scientology)?????
AFAIK, there is nothing in the Christian tradition in Scientology, in any way, shape, or form.
Yeah, there are many similairities in Cult Thinking between most of the cults. That is why they are cults; it isn't about what they believe, but rather about HOW THEY CONTROL their members.
I have been seriously thinking about pretending to be slipping into Scientology when talking to my Mom, with the hopes of forcing her to (A) see her own JW cult illogic reflected back to her with a crazy Scientology spin and (B) Forcing her to learn more about anti-cult techniques.

Notice what the society Admits
by skyman ininsight on the scriptures vol 1 pages 345, paragraph 6 at deuteronomy 14:21 allowances was made for selling to an alien resident or a foreigner an animal that had died of itself or that had been torn by a beast.
thus a distinction was made between the blood of such animals and that of animals that a person slaughtered for food.
{compare le 17:14-16} the israelites, as well as alien residents who took up true worship and came under the law covenant, were obligated to live up to the lofty requirements of that law.

JW Ben said:
====================
Many of the things I read [...] are so full of rubish it is not funny. The tragedy is that it is mostlt presented in a belivable manner.
====================
If you are talking about WTS publications, then I agree with you 100%... except for the "believable manner" part; I don't think WTS stuff is at all believable.

Watchtower has registered internet domain names CCJW.com and CCJW.org (Christian Congregation of Jahoobee's Witlesses).
.org and .com are reg'd to Joel Gott /Watchtower (Joel seems to be their head nerd)
CCJW.com -- registered 2001-12-18
CCJW.org -- registered 26-Dec-2004
.US is reg'd to Jon McWilliams in New Jersey; the name resolves to the "official" site: watchtower.org
CCJW.us -- registered Jul 02 15:01:45 GMT 2002
CCJW.net is taken, but belongs to someone in China and does not seem to go anywhere.
I don't know why I'm announcing all this, but thought someone could use this info. Oh, if you are a fellow Canadian reading this, you can plunk down $12.95 and register CCJW.ca -- it is still available. Who knows, maybe the Canadian Counsel of Jewish Women will thank you for holding that domain name for them, away from the clutches of Witchpower. ;)

P.S. It is interesting that CCJW.org simply has a page titled "SI Projects" (look at the title bar in your browser). Does anyone know what SI Projects means? Special Interest? Stop Interference? -

I hate to rain on your parade, but this is the "Organized" book, not the "Pay Attention" book.

Pay Attention = only elders get one -

Our old school CO (Jack Danley a.k.a. Jack "Daniel") used this in one of his Friday Night Guilt Trip talks, to make some stupid point.
I refuse to play, because thining of JD makes me think of his attrocious teeth (scarey) and even more pithy personality (even more scarey than the teeth).

Sorry, MM, I just saw this.
Yup, pretty condemning. Of course, JWs will argue semanitics and point out that Isreal "joining" the UN and WTS "becoming officially recognized as an NGO" are two different things. Six of one, half-dozen of the other, I say. -

A question for Evil Force
by Junction-Guy ini have read in several of your posts that you are a doctor, what is your line of practice?
if you would share that with us here that would be cool.
also how often has the blood transfusion issue come up in your practice.

Sith, that is a GREAT question!
EF, do you simply not sleep? ;)
Oh, BTW:
"The Pyramidial Tracts are a complex of multi-synaptic upper motor neurons which interconnect the Basil-Ganglia with the Reticular Formation."
I memorized that from the movie "European Vacation". I'll bet I now know enough to be a know-it-all JW debating with Drs. that have gone to school for eight years!

Apostates commit the unforgivable sin and will NOT be resurrected.
by gumby ini posted this on another thread....but as usual, when i posted it, the thread died and so i thought i'd put it under a different subject as it's worth re-reading.. the society has always said nobody is the judge who commits the dreaded...."unforgivable sin", but they sure the hell do not having any trouble making a statement concerning apostates as commiting the unforgivable sin.. 1982 watchtower 4/1 p.26-28 .
" jesus told the unrepentant scribes and pharisees that they and their gentile proselytes were subjects for gehenna or, literally, sons of gehenna.

As an Athiest, I am assuming that when I die I will be wiped out of existance, forever.
That's not punishment, WTS, that is just life and death. Even your "punishments" don't scare me; they simply don't make sense.
This reminds me of a conversation my JW-mother had with my "Born Again" brother. She said, condescendingly, "You know, you are *NOT* going to heaven"
His response: "Guess what mom, even if you're right and I'm wrong.... NEITHER ARE YOU!!!"

New and need a question answered before I post any other questions
by soundbox_guy inokay, first off, let me get this straight...you guys are all witnesses, some all active, some do things all the way right, some don't do things all the way right?
some are by the book but not preachy, and some are witnesses that are rogue and do things their own way?
i just want to know before i post any doubts or concerns or anything because even though i know we're supposed to stay away from places like this on the internet, i don't want what i say somehow getting back to my congregation somehow and next thing you know 4 elders come busting through the door waving "no blood" cards and shouting "freeze, jehovah's witnesses!

soundbox_guy, sounds like you need to improve your "Wild Sister Radar". Maybe its just rusty from years of non-use.
Wild Sisters are out there. I know of some "Brothers" that view JWs as a safe, clean dating pool. You have to get better at separating the wheat from the chaff.
