I'm not sure if I'm parsing your question properly, so: if you are asking if Russel used Pyramidology to arrive at either 606/607 BCE, then YES.

Pyramidology was a main column of beleif for the early bible students (although they did not use the word Pyramidology).

The conecept that dimensions of the interior ascending passage in the Great Pyramid at Gizeh indicated a historical and future timeline was a HUGE part of the "Studies in the Scriptures" series. IIRC, one of the books was devoted almost entirely to that idea, and even had a multi-page fold-out with artwork of the pyramid against a timeline.

The concept of the Pyramid being "God's Stone Witness" was:

"borrowed" from other nuts contemporaneous with Russel
a central part of bible student's belief at that time
confirmed in the pages of the Watchtower as late as 1925
totally repudiated (attributed to devilish teaching) in Watchtower in 1928
mentioned casually and glibly in the pages of the Proclaimers book, with the implication that it was just an odd belief of Russel personally, but not a part of doctrine

It is too bad someone doesn't collect all these old wacky WTS quotes together someplace. Oh wait.... nevermind.

I just checked all the "Klein" references listed in the apendix of CoC and didn't find it. I also took a quick look through the chapter "The Misuse of Disfellowhiping" and didn't see it.

Maybe it wasn't Karl [brain dead] Klein, but some other brain dead GB member?

Discussed child molestation issue with my elder dad

well i broached the subject of child molestation among jw's with my elder dad over the weekend.

he knew of a brother that i grew up with named "arthur" who apparently molested another boy in the congregation.

years later "arthur" is still in good standing and was getting close to my in-laws.

New JW hobby when going to the KH

so now that i am mentally out ( but still chained for family reasons ) i need to find some hobbies to do while at the meetings.. i would like to do some things that will disrupt the meeting, but without getting caught.

for example, i would love to screw with the sound system while people are commenting ( particularly the elders ).

any ideas?.

Happy With Chrome

i've been using google's chrome browser for about 4 months now and love it.

i love it mainly because it's simple and so fast compared with ie7.

i know there are a lot of browsers that are better than ie7, but this thread is not about which is the best browser.. i'm curious to find out what others think vis a vis ie7 vs. chrome.

I had been using Firefox for a couple of years (pre v1.0) on the PC

Then we got a MacBook, and I was swapping between FF and Safari on the Mac. Pretty soon I was using Safari exclusively on the Mac.

Then I was using Safari on the PC (very fast and nice), but tried Chrome when it was released. Currently, Safari is my default on Mac and Chrome is default on PC.

If/when Google releases Chrome for Mac, I will likely experience a gut wrenching decision, once again. Choice is wonderful, but frustrating!
