  i can't stand it when i hear a person saying how god "protected our house," when their neighbor's house lies in ruins.

  i can prove this is pure, unadulterated, bullshit:

  our home was left virtually untouched, and the house across the street lost their roof.

  I remember an experience at my Pioneeer school, that the CO related.

  When he was first a special pioneer (Ireland I think he said) they were stuck for cash and couldn't afford new tyres for the car. To cut this short, basicly- he was in the middle of nowhere going around some country lane - there at the side of the road where 4 new tyres, just the right size for the car!

  He put this down to Jehovah providing for him, and stole the tyres!

  At the time I thought it was wonderful

  Do You Think That Brooklyn Is Concerned About Apostafests?

  looking through some of the society's earlier wt's, it does seems as though they tend to see apostates as lonely and isolated people.

  i can only find one reference to organised apostates in the wt.. so i wonder how they feel about the recent plethora of fests that are taking place?.

  it's certainly having a nullifying effect on the enforced isolation that they like to see resulting from disfellowshipping.

  maybe this is a paranoid view, but they may even have people pose as 'apostates', on forums like this, and attend fests, make friends, and in fact photo people there to keep tabs of who is who.
