What movies make you think of the Borg?...
by Hecklerboy ini was watching a great sci-fi movie the other day (chronicles of riddick) and there was a phrase in the movie that jumped out at me.
a soldier was being promoted and he said the phrase "obedience without question, loyalty till underverse comes".
i thought "wow, just replace underverse with armageddon and that sound just like the witnesses".

by qwerty innew exercise routine if you're over 40
new exercise routine if you're over 40. you might want to take it easy at first, then do it faster as you become more proficient.
it may be too strenuous for some.. always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program!

What Are Things You Get A "Kick" Out Of, Here????
by minimus in.
here's one thing i get a kick out at times--- it's when i see a new poster give "counsel" and advice as if they were still a jw elder or "eldress" or wannabe.
you know the authority types that genuinely believe they know it all and that we're all anxious to hear what wisdom might be imparted to us.

Tony Blair ......Hero or Villain??
by ScoobySnax inwith the election coming up, do you think our tone deserves another crack of the whip?
a 3rd term?.
how is he viewed abroad by other posters here?.

Tony seems genuine!...................but in the end........they have to balance the books. What seems a good plan of attack one year might have to be change later on.

New Around here
by MrsElmo253 ini've been reading the forums for a while now, as a guest, and have decided that i need a counterbalance to the indoctrination i am recieving.
here's my story (as short as i can make it): .
i was raised pagan, hearing the witnesses were a cult like morminism and islam.

Welcome to the board MrsElmo253. You say...............................
I like reading about how God didnt say we COULDN'T be rich. But I need a counterbalance so I don't fall victim to their teachings involuntarily.
There are some good articles in the Awake mags. I could still read them, because my wife still goes to the KH. I don't though I never know if they are steeling info from others work and miss using it too. When I first was a JW it always puzzled me why some articles seemed to be the same or similar to Reader Digest or National Geographic. Same with the Kingdom Melodies, why some tunes are like National Anthems.
Stick around it will counter balance you here. Besides we want to know more about how your "Bible" study goes with the JW's.

Usnet has lots of free music. Alot is totally legal. Try searching for Usenetmonster + you get a free copy of Newsrover client. It makes finding the
pornmusic and downloading really simple. If you quote my ref- dvdburn2, I might get some free gigs too. Yep you can earn referal Gigs, I am having a job using mine up. The lowest package, of which I am on costs $5 a month. Have a look anyway. Qwerty -

How Would You Feel If A Poster Just Vanished?
by minimus incan you imagine suddenly never hearing from gumby, blondie, metatron or simon again?
think about never hearing from your favorite poster or online friend.

The longer a person's been 'active' on the JWD the more they'll be missed I guess. Let me think ermmmmm............ I've not check but what about Dmouse, Rayzorblade, just to name two. Like GermanXJW said ......................
But the danger is to stay in this virtual zone without ever meeting anyone in real life.
Get to an Apostafest. Englishmans BBQ for example (Sat 9th July, drop Eman a PM if you are not sure of the invite), it's my 3rd time this year and it's been a pleasure to meet many off this board, both from far and away! GermanXJW included- I won't make a list. Qwerty
