Good point VM44 about the Espionage Act.
When I was a dub I bought into the whole concept of specific targeted persecution against dubs during the war. However reading history one sees that this period of time saw perhaps the worst suppression of human rights during the history of our country. Dissent was ruthlessly suppressed. The few courageous men like Robert LaFollette or Eugene Debs were either silenced or imprisoned. The more I read about Woodrow Wilson the more horrified I am.
