For what I know this doees not even apply to the whole of Russia but only to some cities.

In any case, the freedom of the WT means that they are free to scam, manipulate, stick their noses in people's private lives, and stalk, slander, and otherwise complicate the lives of people that chooses to leave their spiritual hell by interfering with all relations they formerly had and by creating uncomfortable situations at school or work, or wherever it is they have the bad luck of meeting them.

We should have been wiser before accepting a Bible study from them sure, so should the person that buys a scrap at the car dealer. But the car dealer still needs to be dealt with.

Personally the only reason I can think of as to why the american government allows their freedom to continue undisturbed, is because somehow they must be benefiting from it.

being back in college after leaving the borg, one of the required classes for a degree at my college is ethics.

after learning a few things, i am curious where morality and ethics is heading for the future of humanity.

i wish i could find the source again, but several weeks ago i recalled reading a transcript of a very old document that talked about when christianity was being spread in europe, it brought civility and community.

Puzzling how a lot of ex-jw jump so readily in defense of secret societies.

Those who justify to feed Christians to the lions don't even deserve an answer.

To deny the involvement of secret societies in the development of world history goes beyond idiocy.

In regards to those who say that there were many cultures before Christianity that is certainly true, not that you would necesarily want to be a citizen in any of them or worse a slave. In fact if you wouldn't want to be a slave in them, it would be hipocritical of you to defend them.

Some Christian leaders may have commited abuses, but there are big differences between countries, so to an extent it must have something to do with the leadership in those countries. For sure Henry VIII, Luther and Napoleon had their own agenda to go against the Church.

Wasblind, I am very sorry about you not knowing about the culture of your ancestors, but Africa is still there, and so is its culture if you are curious about what they believed. The way the slaves were treated was inhuman but it had nothing to do with Christianity.

In any case it was mainly perpetrated by protestants whom had quite a barbaric track record from the very begining including witch-hunts and a tradition of secret societies, all-male, racist and misogynistic. So don't blame all Christianity for what this people did.

A lot of people seem to forget that our culture in Western countries is Christian, and that it has been so for two thousand years.

Starting with the Reformation wars and crimes, the French and Russian Revolution and today's proliferation of fanatic cults, it seems clear that what all these events have in common is their contempt for this original Christian heritage.

Secret societies have been the most murderous and disgusting force in human history so far, and for some reason they all share this hatred against Christianity unless when they use it to control other people's private lives with it.

Those who are not particularly rational, emotional or spiritual don't like to be at the bottom of the piramyd where they belong, so they build another one where they can be at the top without being particularly smart, humane or spiritually developed. Hence the secrecy.

You can be moral without religion, sure, but our religion is our tradition, it explains our culture and it forms our values. Without it, you reject thousands of years of accumulated wisdom, won't understand your own culture and heritage and will have whatever values suit you or somebody else manufactures for you.

Different empires left different legacies, usually influencing conquered nations with their culture.

The anglo-american dominance of the world has left wars, explotation, corruption and many enslaved countries that are now worse off than they previously were. In that it is quite unique in history.

This information is extremely disturbing.

Many r&f witnesses have sacrified their own lives for a lie.

Not surprisingly they also had traitors high up in the organization in communist countries, so it is unclear who are they for or against. In any case nobody has ever exposed them for what they really are, whatever that is.

They probably admire him a lot; he did get away with murder, was cruel to his wives, and he did love Jonathan more than he loved women, even though at the end of his days he had a young girl coming to warm him up in his bed because he was cold.

Who would not admire him?

There were similar sects to them from the begining, the arrians, the catars, etc.

But none of them promoted values comparable to what Christianity achieved in the Roman empire, abolishing slavery, raising the status of women, and educating people in mercy, charity and tolerance for other cultures.

In Spain for example, jews and muslims lived together and enjoyed a lot of privileges for centuries until they became a threat to Christianity's survival and were expelled from the country in 1492.

That probably saved Spain from the religion wars that asolated the rest of Europe with the Reformation that happened soon after this event.

The spanish people also fought heroically in every village against Napoleon and his French Revolutionary ideals that costed over 6,000,000 lives to implement in other countries. Not to mention the thousands of witch hunts that took place in the protestant Europe.

If this video shows something is that we are all affected by the type of society we live in.

Different societies promote different values.

I think any society that promotes using women as sexual objects and wombs for rent does not deserve the name civilized.

Ancient Greece was a democracy, that is if you were not a woman or a slave, so not quite.

In the WT the woman is the weaker vessel, that means, give her all the cleaning jobs, put a cloth on her head if she (God forbid) has to make a prayer or give a talk, and remind her that she needs to be extra-humble when presenting an objection/query/remark.

I don't know if there is a gay agenda or not, but women have a due place in the family and in society and those who don't respect that are abusing them, even if it is not so melodramatic as in this video.
