They will appeal, and maybe even win. If they don’t, it will probably have consequences not only for them but for other religions as well.

My father is an elder and he would discuss cases of the congregation at home with us without mentioning the names, we are not the secret police.
You can actually correct a brother’s comment if you do it discreetly.
The congregation is much better now, a lot of people is gone (to me after I left).
Even if this was not the truth it would still be the best way to live.

I think is atheism. Christianity is not only a religion, it is a culture and historical heritage and the foundation of what we know as the Western civilization. Atheism has not produced happier or freer societies or individuals.
This is just my opinion.

How the WTBTS creates atheists
by Nickolas ini am an atheist.
i arrived at this juncture in my life despite not wanting to.
when i first met the witnesses at 22 i was a seeker looking for answers to the question of life - in other words, prime cult target material.

I think the reason why ex-jws tend to become atheists is probably because the WT does such a great job at emptying a person of their spirituality. As humans we all have a spiritual dimension, but spirituality has nothing to do with pioneering, giving comments at the meetings, making many return calls, or humbly accepting any doctrine or policy they promote without questioning it. But this is what spirituality is for them. The WT god is the organization.
They also destroy a person emotionally on different levels, don’t have independent thinking, pride (as in questioning the elders), don’t trust your own heart, follow orders even if you don’t agree (be submissive), etc. So once somebody gets fed up of all this crap and leaves, he will naturally be apprehensive about religion and God.
If you didn’t manage to keep a sense of spirituality apart from all the rubbish they taught you, once you free yourself from them, you will also stop believing in God, as all along you were dealing with a false god, their organization. Nothing to do with true spirituality. It is an evil and destructive cult.
You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. (not enslave you) John 8:32

Fernando, to me this sounds a bit like what the WT preaches, an utopia. Some of the technology aspect will probably become true in the future. But the social part of it, is not realistic.
People like to be paid for their job, it’s a question of personal satisfaction, they also like to own their things, even animals want to own their territory.
Science is as good as the men using it, and men are as good as their values. Not all countries are developed to the same level, the same as not all individuals are. Not all individuals have honourable motives. Some just want to take advantage of others. We have a long way to go before we can have a global government that will be good to all. History teach us that governments that have no opposition become tyrannies. Imagine what a global tyranny would be like. What would happen to dissidents? It doesn’t convince me.

It took me a long time to write this...i'm staying.
by MsGrowingGirl20 init took me a long time to write this....i'm being brutally honest...i am still a reg pioneer...three sundays ago,i was praying and asking god for a sign or something because i was so confused...i told him exactly what i needed to see for me to believe.i was feeling terrible--crying and feeling sick because i was so confused.ten minutes after, i walked into the kingdom hall and to my surprise--my prayer was answered!
i soooo wasn't expecting it, even though i prayed.
so this is where almighty god wants me to be,ii've reasoned.

I am amazed at the capacity this organization has to create a problem in people’s lives and then present themselves as the only solution.
I don’t know what sign you saw that made you decide to stay, but you saw other signs that lead you to this site. Don’t ever forget this other signs.
Don’t waste more time in a cult that tells you what to think and how to live your life. The friends you have at the KH are conditional friends. Your whole life is ahead of you, go to college, make new friends and don’t let others decide for yourself.
Even if your congregation is made up of nice people, ask yourself who is running this organization, and if they treat people as Jesus did or as the Pharisees did. For their fruits you will know them, what are their fruits? They demand total obedience from their followers, you don’t agree with them, you die. In the meantime, they’ll make sure they destroy your reputation and separate you from your friends and family. All this in the name of God.
Please get out, don’t waste your youth supporting the agenda of this people, whatever that is.
You don’t need them to have a relationship with God, Jesus is the only mediator not them.
Also think, why are you preaching? Do you really wish for others to enter into this cult?
Use your life to try and make this world a better place, don’t believe those who say the best way to do this is by keeping separate from the world and doing nothing other than going from door to door trying to convince other people to do the same. They are trying to change things, but for their own benefit, and they rely on your ignorance and inaction to succeed.
Be free and be happy.

How sad having the most private decisions in your life in the hands of other people like that. And yet when you are in the organization you come to view this as normal. It is not.
“Who are you to judge the house servant of another?” Rom 14:4
“One there is that is lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But you, who are you to be judging your neighbour? James 4:12

Beware of Sparlock! Pay No Attention To The Pedophiles Behind The Curtain!
by DT inisn't it ironic that the governing body saw fit to produce a child's video warning about the dangers of plastic toys while trying to cover up the danger of sexual predators in their kingdom halls?.
even the theme to listen, obey and be blessed only reinforces the kind of culture that allows the abuse of children to go unnoticed for years.. the callous disregard for children is mind boggling.. i suspect that the governing body knew that there could be some expensive settlements coming up and rushed the production of the ill advised sparlock video to try to squeeze a few more donations out of the rank and file while they still have a chance.
they probably didn't take time to consider that it would only add to their troubles and expose their hypocrisy.. .

The sooner the indoctrination starts the better.
In all fairness the book learning from the great teacher teaches children to resist paedophiles, but the sparlock video is the beginning of a life of spiritual manipulation

Thought Reform and the Psychology of the 'Safeguard Your Heart!' 2012 Convention
by breakfast of champions into make attendance at my second district convention "mentally out" both a little more bearable and meaningful, i decided to take some notes of key points as if i were an outsider studying the thought reform methods of jehovah's witnesses.
at first, i was only going to share these notes with my therapist, but inspired by the "parsing the watchtower double-speak" thread, i figured i would share my amateur analysis with everyone.
here are some of the highlights:.

Breakfast for champions, thanks for posting your analysis, it is very insightful and scary.
So basically they are asking you to hand over your heart to them, as you can not handle it yourself. And you have to give them the whole of it, not half. So after you have done this, what do you have to offer to God, or to anyone else for that matter? Is this why God gave you free will? For you to be a slave not to Him but to some ass**** that tells you what to think? Who do this people think they are?
Also remember your heart is desperate, inclined to bad and treacherous, and the questions is, how is theirs?
Everything is about the organization, do not murmur, do not criticize, do not doubt, do not think, if you are not with them you are against them, as they equate themselves with Jesus himself.
They are effectively destroying people. If you destroy somebody’s sense of self, what’s left? This cult is evil and they are getting more and more radical, poor you that had to endure this program, I wouldn’t have been able to, and poor the ones that believe in all this BS.
