Atlantis had the three memos on a day ago, and I do not think they stayed too long. There was a two page memo to COBOE re a lot of stuff, two important issues - change to baptism question 2 - dredging up a myriad of questions, about anointed, appointed, holy spirit- who has it when - they say pubs and anointed have it in THE QTR questions and answers - we all have IT! Equallyl - so why do we need them?

What will this do the the heart and soul of those mentally in pubs who dont believe a word. it will undoubtedly scar and drain them and they will wander like lost souls...once they wake up... and then Item 7 wants the elders to review contributions AND MAKE SURE THE MONEY STILL COME IN EVERY MONTH FROM EVERY FAMILY..OTHER WISE THE AMOUNT WILL BE ADJUSTED - BUT REMEMBER BOY, THIS IS A FOREVER Mortgage and tithe to an organization THAT IS COVER UP CHILD ABUSE CASES FROM PAST 25 YEARS AND FORWARD. --hiding FILES, DESTROYING FILES, IS THAT SHOWING THEIR INNOCENCE IN THIS MATTER,,, WHAT HAPPENED TO MORAL CODE? NO INNOCENSE.... NO MORAL CODE... JJUST GASLIGHT THE PUBS AND COLLECT THEIR MONEY, FOREVER.

One of the points of conventions: obedience training

i think a lot these days about people who train you to be obedient without telling you that's what they're doing.

the thought occurred to me that that could be part of the idea of regional conventions.

it's not like they present much of anything new to the audience, it's the same old talks year after year, the same old information, yeah, repackaged a little, different themes, different illustrations, but the same information, obey the faithful slave, armageddon is imminent, go door-to-door, the usual.

Implanting it in the brain =- relating it to God- just type in Org instead of God and the connection mentally is made.

Introduction

i have been in crisis regarding the international problem of the way child abuse has been handled in the wt organization.

i have been dealing with serious health issues that made it necessary for me to go on permanent disability since 2015. since then my health has gotten worse making it nearly impossible to attend meetings.

in this period i have received no spiritual or other help of any kind.

Inactive1 - so sorry for your situation.. Please keep in touch on this site, you will find good but hurt folks who have done their "time" with the truth and found happiness when they had their eyes opened and left the "loving" organization. My son suffers from similar results, stress, IBS, chronic fatigue and everything that goes with it and blames it on the disturbing memories of the org. As you, no one was/is interested.. they can knock on doors of strangers but neglect their closest relatives and brothers and sisters in the truth they grew up with.

You will have an outlet here- a lot of wisdom has passed in this site, a lot of questions mulled over and discussed. Keep a smile as hard as it is... reach out to all avenues the government supplies to take care of yourself.

Scanning and Sending Medical Records Through Emails--Circuit Overseer Letter!

atlantis, do you have the circuit overseer's letter, where they say they scan and send your medical records through emails?

isn't that against the law?.

you would need to speak with those on the board with legal knowledge on that subject, because i am not qualified in such legal matters.

Everything in Canada is under the Privacy Act. You can go to a dentist, doctor, EMT, etc and all need to be signed off by you that your information can be shared to an insurance company, etc. Read it carefully. Before you sign.

Funny you brought this up again... I thought of it again today and there is already information on the company building the massive empire. The picture you see is for the international const company -the builder of the complex as the memo shows, volunteers will not be building it i.e. private company only was the first word... maybe its changed now but I doubt it...

Is there a new Date by the Watchtower for the End of System?

not sure if this topic has being covered recently.. my son asked me a question if the jw's have in the recent months being pushing a new end date to the system?

he was telling me about how his mother has being on him again about the urgency of the end of this system of things and he needs to do something asap.

i told him i am not aware of any new dates as i have being away from the cult for over 20 years.

Do old time present day active JW`s genuinely believe in overlapping generations ?

for the life of me i can not come to terms with old timers in the "truth" who could swallow this interpretation of scripture about an overlapping generation .. when jesus spoke about "this generation" .

are their any real bible students among younger ones any more ?.

here are 3 bible scriptures that confirm a generation is approximately 40- 50 years long give or take a few years .. 1. matt:1 :17 abraham born 2016-18 bc jesus born 2 bc approx.

Speaking for me in over 40 years, no I do not! EMPHATIC NO! This generation, means this generation of Jesus' day even though we are seeing a major part of the earth starting to deteriorate, oceans, air, water systems...

Even scientists today are saying by 2020 life will be in imminent danger.. There is no Earth 2.

With all the de-regulations going into effect, what really will be for the young ones to have to live...the massive storms sweeping in to take valuable farmlands, mass fish kills for no? reason...… the list goes on -

Holy Spirit - Present or Gone in the Congregations?

i was doing some reminiscing and remember the days back in the late 80s and early 90s where i truly could say the meetings were so encouraging and that i felt the holy spirit present and operating on all of us.

today when i attend, there is nothing of the sort.

is it because jehovah has withheld it?

As I can see, the holy spirit has left... I believe the society is morally bankrupt and the Holy Spirit is causing the downfall.. less baptisms yet 8m plus adherents, cong numbers down, halls closing and being sold, as is assembly halls,

This, in large part, to the child sex abuse scandal that has yet to be clarified to the congregations and until that is done and apologies made with monies being offered to those who have been the subject of these attacks, nothing is going to change. Who is to say.... the temple is being cleansed from the top down...…...it is happening and this is the outcome.. Today our CO gave a talk and included in it was a comment about child abuse - just as though they knew nothing about it.. leading the publishers ti think we are clean, holy people. THEY CAN NOT continue doing this... Own up! Be like the Catholic Church - they follow the same plan Pope (GB) Bishops (CO)

Priests (elders) - no heirachy? YES there is..... WTBTS bringing in tons of money to pay out to law courts.. one rcent $40,000,000 had to be placed under bond to ensure monies would be there when settlement awarded. Another class action suit in Canada..... Tip of the iceberg that the Titanic is about to ram...

Yesterday, Colorado JW, Ralph Candelario, found guilty (of murdering his JW wife) on all counts & tampering w/evidence

ralph candelario is a jw.

he murdered his jw wife (his second wife) around january 2014 in walsenburg, colorado.

his first wife disappeared and has never been found but the jury was not permitted to know this.

He is a disgusting human being..... first wife not found yet.... second wife staged murder.... but hey! he said she would be resurrected and have her beautiful smile.. how sick is that? and he could remarry?

Just a thought - what made him a JW? Where does it say you can kill your mate? or commit adultery - there were two couples involved and children.... yes disciplined but where were the elders or was this guy just too smooth as most evil people are...was this just a convenient belief system that allowed him to warp his thinking so bad it caused him to murder and remarry? Knowing a promised resurrection for the dead? And he would not be punished by earthly law when caught?

He got what he deserved ….
