  Last Thursday's Meeting in Elmira, On

  i had gotten a phone call from a brother who was really upset.

  he said there was a resolution passed that everyone is in agreement to the selling of the elmira hall.

  the strange thing is at the congregation picnic an elder told him that a few years ago the deed to the hall was signed over to the org.

  When the letter was read about the new Global Assistance program - I did not raise my hand in approval. No explanation if it was tied in with the forever mortgage resolution, which it is not, is for 12 months or lump sum.....and I am so sick of the constant cry for money - just bold faced lies as to what they are doing with the huge amount they are receiving, but now with B. Anderson and Google reporting on the New York situation re abused ones, I can see where they are scrambling and this could be the death knell for them.

  I know now that I am marked because of not raising my hand.

  'the watchtower november 2019 study articles quoted below can be summed up as follows:.

  the great tribulation is near, so become more entrenched in the cult by strengthening friendships with other jw's, by revealing your thoughts to them, by doing more for the org, and by refusing to listen to any upsetting reports about the org in the media or on the internet.. par.

  19, page 7 - we must be determined to build and maintain strong relationships with our brothers and sisters now.

  These statements chill me to the bone.... distort facts about the tower???... that's why they hired a pr firm to negate the "fake news"..

  The day is come -- the new donation arrangement is in effect this week.. $3.50 per publisher x # of publishers every month for 12 months to help with re building halls damaged by weather - really?? Where is the insurance coverage all halls have for such an occurrence?

  As far as I can see, this article was written to have people spying on other publishers - much like they do in China-- report them to the officials (elders)and then get a visit if your "heart" is not right. Weed out the chaff so to speak, keep the true believers and get rid of those on the fence who do not support the org.

  A real catch and release [program in effect.

  i am not a mathematician, so i have a question -- the dow dropped almost 900 points today due to china devaluing its yuan against the us dollar.

  what will the impact be on markets as well as the farmers, steel, etc.?

  - this is crazy and as dt is a tariff guy, the country is being devastated by the results.

  I am not a mathematician, so I have a question -- the Dow dropped almost 900 points today due to China devaluing its yuan against the US dollar.

  What will the impact be on markets as well as the farmers, steel, etc.? - this is crazy and as DT is a tariff guy, the country is being devastated by the results. Pension plans also impacted everyone!

  Coal miners have lost jobs, auto makers are going out of business, and the country of China was the one that floated 1 trillion dollars during the financial mess Obama dealt with.. US still owes on that loan.

  Where is this all headed?

  Doesn't this Congregation Accounts form show that the so called Global assistance resolution is a separate resolution from the Worldwide Work ? Is this a separate mortgage per publisher/per congregation ? But only for a year!

  The donation has been ongoing, but they presented it initially as no more mortgages and that Kingdom halls will be built out of these donations. Is this separate from that directive seeing that the law suits are mounting?

  People raised their hands and gave monthly to cover that donation - this time it is presented as getting an amount from JW,Org per pub and multiplying it by the number of active pubs. That leaves it out of publishers hands and pushes towards downloading congregation funds - since there is still large amounts in those accounts.

  Am I wrong ?

  Special Meeting Info memo is an eye opener... One of the directives is to set up another congregation plan to obtain more funds.

  Formula is nbr of active pubs x number of pubs value as per JW,org - which I suppose an elder has to sign on to get

  That amount is to be taken from congregation funds - that goes to hall expenses, does it not? For now, it starts in sept and runs to August 2020. This is ridiculous... but then with the Australian loss for 1 count case of $2.4 million recently and 1000 more to probably come, the man behind the curtain is melting.

  can someone explain what is happening with this issue, please?i read online that gb is trying to coverup or defend themselves and their organization... like what happened?

  isn't this horrible thing happening in all of the religions over the world...for example catholic church has got multiple scandals...but i just don't get it.

  Cause they called their Legal Department and received instructions not to do so, and those perps - even though they may have been reproved at some point, had no legal courts to answer to.. just the 3 man JC--and some of those had a good old boys club - protecting each other.. not to mention, no one could "gossip" and tell others with children that there was a perp in their congregation - so other children were in harms way. The lessons this month was a CYA situation and made the lessons studied seem like the protection was always there for the children, when in fact, it was not.

  just got a phone call this morning from a very upset anointed brother.

  he said he didn't believe me when i told him about the pedo problem and selling off of halls.

  he said he was disgusted with the watchtower and had to go to a special meeting last night.

  sign up for Google Alerts if you want a n insight into the legal issues of the Tower. An alert just came out today re a $2.4 million lawsuit by an Australian for abuse. If this is won, there were over 1006 perpetrators found to be in Australia via the AR C a few years ago. Look up Australian Royal Commission and search for the records.

  If those cases go to courts in Australia, there will be no more WTBTS.
