  I have mentioned, several times, they don't have to use the word 'tithing". They already have a buzz word for that- "donation". They advise the congregation they are going to read a letter from the society. That letter stipulates amounts to be given per publisher( suggestions of course)- the elders in their wisdom set the amount, another meeting, explanation how dire it is to get the good news out there with Jehovahs Blessing( guilt) then its a raise hands who agrees with the "suggestion"- and of course, no one wants to stand out as a negative, so its passed with a majority vote. This happens regularly and I am so pissed that- who was it that said- "if the money stops, its time to stop preaching"? Well, the money is stopping, what do they say now? The people are so mind controlled, sheep is the best way to describe their attitudes. Get in line, do what I say, if you don't, you are an apostate or spiritually sick, or not studying the repetitive WT materials enough or holy spirit has left the building. Now they are selling memberships- each publisher has to pay every month $15.00 a head- that's forever, every 30 days, until they want more. So a member- no -they don't use that specific word anymore. Your a publisher or someone in the congregation, but if you are going in service, you pay! and to put icing on the cake, receive Jehovahs blessing again. They haven't figured out Jehovah does not need money. Yet the cry for "unrighteous riches" and refuse to say what they are doing for it... One hall in Nigeria maybe? or Iqualiuit?

  be good if someone did a deep dive on the difference and why the changes?

  DoC- they asked for $15.00 per pub last month, that means every month the society will receive almost $2000.00 from the "contribution" box. What happened to never having a mortgage to renovate the halls when this abomination is happening? That $2 grand is on top of expenses and the WW contribution sent every month as well.

  Peaceful Pete: this seems, in itself, to be a membership fee although pubs are no longer indicated to be a member.

  how many remember when the wts changed their policy on alternative service; changed it to alternative civilian service so jw men could choose it because it was not supervised by the military.

  Since there is a scripture quoted to support the fact that service numbers are no longer required for the RF, is anyone questioning that this "new light" scripture can be changed at any time? Remember, the holy spirit changes his mind, i.e. generation, anointed, etc. (sarcasm) so if you had an acquaintance who waffled those multiple times, would you continue to listen to them?

  The Holy Spirit does not change, just as Jehovah does not change therefore anything considered new light is at once, suspect, a lie, especially if it has been changed 10-12 times as the generation and anointed status has been.

  Their own magazines and books are witness to this fact - this is not made up by "apostates"

  Keep on keepin on-- those who still have an issue that because we speak of the early years and rehash 1925 1975 etc. that now is the time to forget the glaring untruths this organization has foisted on its followers.

  The ONLY way to know how this company works, and I do say company, is to continue to gain bodies that will continue to adhere to the listen, obey mantra and don't ask questions. Get those newbies in to give them more money and slave labor volunteers to build their massive, sprawling "safe" houses for the Big A. when it comes.

  Are these guys putting their faith in a brick and mortar building? Protection?

  This is a money making racket and nothing more, supplying its adherents with half truths and lies while using scripture to prove their evil intent.

  Real reasons behind this change?

  just a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.

  a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?

  maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

  Oh and my husband left a government pension full time job in 1973 to go-----PIONEERING- what did you do during that time? Three years later, he was looking for a job and had to start over again. Believe me, we both got employment with full time companies and a pension plan - no more thinking the governing body- small g, small b- because they had not yet made themselves important with the G....B initials indicating they were something special. Another truth came ( ABOUT THEM) when they dropped the words Holy Spirit from the baptism question #2. They have always indicated they were imperfect and could make mistakes, but when they claim they are speaking, as if from Jehovah, as they do now, you better listen or else you are spiritually sick or becoming an apostate.

  So I see you do stand up for them am I mistaken in that as well? Are you a mole, or trying to find out what is truth? To have your faith shaken reaches right into your soul. It's a reckoning you personally have to deal with and asking for understanding words from the scriptures yourself can one only find the answers. Why do we need imperfect, unqualified men who lie, cover up, squander the "unrighteous riches"- to lead me down the garden path?
