  Like the legalese conversation.

  Getting back to the "spirit Directed" demise some more questions arise I think.

  What about the elders qualifications? Are they no longervunder spirit guidance both when chosen and current? What about the judgement calls they made over the years?

  Same goes for the ms?

  What about the Wt and books and brochures? Are they no longer being written nor been written under guidance of the spirit? Since most of the articles date back to early 1900's- keeping same line of thought- 1914, etc-- are these also no longer and never have been under guidance of the spirit direction?

  To me this is more than just one sentence in the baptismal question. The whole perception based on spirit direction delves into many stated suggestions the WTBTS has made over the years to keep the flock sweating it out til the end.

  Where does this go from here?

  May 2019 Watchtower doubles down on the "Two Witness Rule" !

  this is simply disturbing and infuriating!.

  the may 2019 wt has defiantly and arrogantly been released by the gb, and it is full of their disgusting excuses for not complying with authorities!.

  (i have seen and read all the articles, but cant work out how to upload a link here - perhaps someone can assist?).

  This is really a sore spot with me.. they are still mishandling abuse cases.
  

  In many lessons,they quote that Joseph did not have to have a law to tell him to run from Potiphars wife - he knew by his moral, internal code that it was wrong to have sex with her... - he did not have two witnesses there, he left yet the society claims just because there are a few lines dealing with adult situations, that there has to be two witnesses... Child abuse is not a theme in the bible, yet the nations were abusing their children, history shows that, and God said, do not do as the nations, do not sacrifice your children to false gods.... wasn't that a criteria??? Kids are to be protected......in every way...

  How does this compute that child abuse needs two witnesses? It is the internal moral person that knows it is wrong. Two witness rule should not even enter the picture if an organization wants to be clean and moral about such a heinous crime... Children, put their faith in adults to do right -- pubs hand their kids over to "strangers" just because they are baptized and mostly hold a position because...….they are "spiritually appointed"- which spirit is now in question. (see Question 2 change on the organization baptism question)

  This upcoming mag is a wash job... to soothe the conscience of those who truly want to believe these things are being handled properly...they are not!

  Atlantis had the three memos on a day ago, and I do not think they stayed too long. There was a two page memo to COBOE re a lot of stuff, two important issues - change to baptism question 2 - dredging up a myriad of questions, about anointed, appointed, holy spirit- who has it when - they say pubs and anointed have it in THE QTR questions and answers - we all have IT! Equallyl - so why do we need them?

  What will this do the the heart and soul of those mentally in pubs who dont believe a word. it will undoubtedly scar and drain them and they will wander like lost souls...once they wake up... and then Item 7 wants the elders to review contributions AND MAKE SURE THE MONEY STILL COME IN EVERY MONTH FROM EVERY FAMILY..OTHER WISE THE AMOUNT WILL BE ADJUSTED - BUT REMEMBER BOY, THIS IS A FOREVER Mortgage and tithe to an organization THAT IS COVER UP CHILD ABUSE CASES FROM PAST 25 YEARS AND FORWARD. --hiding FILES, DESTROYING FILES, IS THAT SHOWING THEIR INNOCENCE IN THIS MATTER,,, WHAT HAPPENED TO MORAL CODE? NO INNOCENSE.... NO MORAL CODE... JJUST GASLIGHT THE PUBS AND COLLECT THEIR MONEY, FOREVER.

  One of the points of conventions: obedience training

  i think a lot these days about people who train you to be obedient without telling you that's what they're doing.

  the thought occurred to me that that could be part of the idea of regional conventions.

  it's not like they present much of anything new to the audience, it's the same old talks year after year, the same old information, yeah, repackaged a little, different themes, different illustrations, but the same information, obey the faithful slave, armageddon is imminent, go door-to-door, the usual.

  Last weeks WT dealt with "submission, submitting: a word that can be used instead of obey, obeying...

  Implanting it in the brain =- relating it to God- just type in Org instead of God and the connection mentally is made.

  i have been in crisis regarding the international problem of the way child abuse has been handled in the wt organization.

  i have been dealing with serious health issues that made it necessary for me to go on permanent disability since 2015. since then my health has gotten worse making it nearly impossible to attend meetings.

  in this period i have received no spiritual or other help of any kind.

  Inactive1 - so sorry for your situation.. Please keep in touch on this site, you will find good but hurt folks who have done their "time" with the truth and found happiness when they had their eyes opened and left the "loving" organization. My son suffers from similar results, stress, IBS, chronic fatigue and everything that goes with it and blames it on the disturbing memories of the org. As you, no one was/is interested.. they can knock on doors of strangers but neglect their closest relatives and brothers and sisters in the truth they grew up with.

  You will have an outlet here- a lot of wisdom has passed in this site, a lot of questions mulled over and discussed. Keep a smile as hard as it is... reach out to all avenues the government supplies to take care of yourself.

  Scanning and Sending Medical Records Through Emails--Circuit Overseer Letter!

  atlantis, do you have the circuit overseer's letter, where they say they scan and send your medical records through emails?

  isn't that against the law?.

  you would need to speak with those on the board with legal knowledge on that subject, because i am not qualified in such legal matters.

  Everything in Canada is under the Privacy Act. You can go to a dentist, doctor, EMT, etc and all need to be signed off by you that your information can be shared to an insurance company, etc. Read it carefully. Before you sign.

  Funny you brought this up again... I thought of it again today and there is already information on the company building the massive empire. The picture you see is for the international const company -the builder of the complex as the memo shows, volunteers will not be building it i.e. private company only was the first word... maybe its changed now but I doubt it...
