So its "anyone, publisher, someone" buzz words now, not members. So why did we get baptized? Say the words? If you join a club to be members, why wouldn't the word "members" apply? Because of something legal, this is a lawyers way of getting around the fact they "someone, publisher, someone" really isn't one of us. The news reports say " he/she was a member of Jehovahs Witnesses" if a crime has occured, say child abuse. So makes the org look bad that a "member" did it.

As of . this year Watchtower sent a letter to all Bodies of Elders. Stating that the publishers in the congregation are no longer "members.
Now Jehovah's Witnesses are to be referred to as an "individuals" and no longer a "member". As of April 2020.

Can you believe for parents to say" my son is handling mikes now" and see them on stage (kids) saying their goal was to serve at Bethel when finished school- it was such a blessing for one's kid to be active in the "truth". Now I look back and see the grift, the grooming, the BS that was so prevalent. Today we see those guys sitting in the audience, not reaching out for anything but just being there. Many of the kids from that time are out, parents have allowed others to take music, dancing, outside groups, soccer at school - so they can become accustomed to dealing with others outside the org. They are thriving but staying with it. That could be the lessening of hardline, just as beards and women wearing slacks have been allowed to do. Even buying a lotto ticket isn't a big deal that warrants a committee. In our family - 3 elders - stepped down, all kids out, Kids and grandkids. Today's elder making is a desperate move- most elders old or sick. No one stepping up. Congregations grow somewhat due to those in org moving in and out of areas. No real interest at doors.

So according to scripture women should not wear clothing of male, must have long hair - her glory.....so are we dressed in long, white dresses, or can we look shiek in a nice two piece while working to build the house? Take care of the flocks, gardening? Or will all females be changed to males as org stated many years ago - or is that just in heaven?
I like the recent indication they did not now what they were talking about (since we should not speculate) that 'ONLY JEHOVAH KNOWS'. This was from the GB2.

The Governing Body is Restructuring the Org.and encouranging young ones to REACH OUT!
by liam inthe governing body just doesn't let up on encouraging the young children to reach out to do free labor for the organization.
so another generation of young people with ruined lives.
another generation of young people that will get old and wake up in their 50s to realize they were in a religious doomsday cult.. and they are getting rid of some old workers that ran the branches of the organization, and giving them different assignments or maybe they are just sending them home, who knows.

I too knew a CO in service for years. However, the green handshakes netted him an apartment building, several houses and money all the way to the bank. Due to a scary hidden part of his private life, was df'd and re-instated within 1 year- now out of service as CO. One of the good ole boys. This is the other side of the coin.

When the time comes, bricks and mortar won't be there- if you depend on contact with the congregation - meaning elders or ms- I doubt that will be happening. They will be scrambling like everyone else and blood is thicker than water. This is just another scare tactic put forth for years and now that too has changed. I doubt we will be able to get to Walkill and the rest of the super bethels they have, so the main body would be tantamount to the governments of the land, where they have contingency plans should a WW3 start. No rooms for the peasants.
