  a member suggested this i am disassociated 3 years and divorced one with a life of hell marriage and brain washed but worn out fighting to get back that is nothing but a bunch of back stabbing people in that organization, brain washed and taught to divide familys, they want you in but not, its like football with them same type of plays.

  i now have found people where i go that doesn't teach love the live this.

  i had a abusive marriage, was wife of elder and 3 kids who lived hell because i was to follow the submission of a wife.

  Killing Ananias and Sapphira

  i happened to be reading this part of acts yesterday, ananias and sappira getting zapped for lying about keeping a portion of their profits.

  it occurred to me, that is, like, oh my gawd, soooo old testament!

  is there any other place in the new testament where a person was immediately executed by god for their error?

  he was not warning unbelievers, he was warning them!!.

  why was he warning them?

  What Did You Do As A Witness That Could Have Gotten You Into Trouble Had The Elders Ever Known About It?

  my elder buddy and i would frequent strip clubs when we wanted to.. a few friends knew i enjoyed clubbing and music concerts and i seldom ever spoke of my private social life to others.. i know many jws, including elders, that drank excessively but that wasn't considered too big a deal..

  GB requirements

  has the requirements to be a gb member changed over the last 20 years.

  i was last a jw in the 80's and at that time i thought you had to be able to remember 1914?

  is my memory bad or was this a doctrine change?.

  There have been numerous changes since then...

  Currently if you knew someone who was annointed and they could remember 1914, you are the same generation as them. Which means my 9 year old boy is part of the 1914 generation!

  a controversial subject that hasn't been talked about here for 10 years (or so it seems on my quick search).. .

  i think it's wrong to spay or neuter.

  i bet most of you will disagree.. my vet just called me an irresponsible owner for refusing to have my cat spayed..

  Yes you are irresponsible. Unwanted litters are real problem, since they result in higher numbers of feral cats.

  Feral cats decimate song bird populations, are a nuisance, and many of the individual cats suffer immensly.

  well i figured i should give you all an update.

  they will be dfing me soon for apostasy.

  it is not a huge surprise and i am not afraid nor "shaking in my boots", however i will admit it is stressful right now.
