Iam a jw right now, and Iam on public reproof. The problem is: even before I was reproved, I did not feel like I was apart of a loving family, I did not feel or see true love in the org., I felt empty after every meeting, as if I sat in a business recruitment course or weekly business seminar. I feel a lot of the poeple there, especially the elders are backstabbers. I also feel there is jealousy, envy, strife there. But my entire family is in the org. I want to leave. Iam not happy, I feel like everytime yout turn around there is a meeting, field service, assemblies, special talks. No real connection with the people there. The young peole are bore stiff. I doubt the teachings. I feel that I want to be free to be me.

What I Don't Miss at a District Convention
by simplesally inname the things you don't miss about going to a dc!
---getting there so early and then find that the "servants" have saved all the good seats
---not having time to make a decent lunch and getting admonished about not buying from nearby vendors.

Jehovah's Witness BURNOUT
by Ray6 init is a continuous circle of meetings, field service, assemblies, studying and no real enjoyment of life.
the teenagers don't want to be at the boring meetings and assemblies and preaching in the hot sun.
the brothers are tired of saying the same thing on the platform and sisters are burned out trying to work, take care of home and kids and spiritual matters and being a perfect stepfordwife.

Concern or Criticism
by Ray6 inan elder in my hall is always so concerned about my teenage daughter( why doesn't she comment as much as her brother, why did she miss the meeting, why this, why that).
he keeps his attention on my wife and her friendship with another sister in the congregation and he is constantly hounding every move i make.
i feel the love is lacking.

Ther3e is really no true concern for the young people and everyon in the congregation. Everyone is separate- no unity -no family atmosphere , just jealousy, competition, envy, backbiting, criticism,criticism,criticism, I feel disgusted and discouraged.

circuit assembly talk insults fat people
by Ray6 ini haven't been to my circuit assembly yet, but i was told that one of the talks speaks about the horrible sin of being overweight, how jehovah hates fat and how we can not make it in the new world if we are fat.
is there anyone who knows about this?

Wives' appearance

I suppose it is common to our area. I try to do the best I can, but I just notice a lot of wives looking burnt out, just unconcerned about their appearance, and the obesity is so widespread.

i have to force myself to concentrate on what is being said and not fall asleep.. children are forced to sit for 2 hours or get smacked.
you can just stay home and read over material.

Well, if so much effort is put into preparing for the talk, how about putting just the same amount of effort into giving it, let the audience go away feeling inspired to serve Jehovah. The kids in my observation are told to comment by the parents in some instances, and the really young get a kick out of being called on to comment. Good for you that you give great talks - you are a rare breed.

And what about traveling and spending on hotel, food, gas, etc. to another state to go to DC. to hear the same monotous info. How does anyone else feel about the meetings and what are your observations of things at the meetings
