frank,
LOL nice try!
i would say it depends on how the animals are kept and then killed. if they are killed without much suffering then it gets hard to argue against eating meat.
1. creation viewpoint: if one takes the bible literally, then it follows that all humans were vegetarian until the flood.
in fact, gen. 1:30 states that all creation ate vegetation.
one could deduce also from the bible that the carnivore/prey cycle is not god's original plan and that possibly it would be done away with in a paradise earth (isaiah somewhere).

besides the one we are currently in, i mean.. for me, i feel a strong draw back to the late 1930s and early 1940s.
as i get older, i find myself enjoying the big band sound even more than i ever did, as well as the movies and radio programs of the era.
for some reason, the appeal to that era stops about mid ww2.
personally the late 23rd century
more than any time in history respect and the awe of god has seriously eroded .
man has taken creation for granted and have allowed themselves to believe that no intelligence was required in the making of the universe.
random impersonal forces they delude themselves could have caused all we see in the universe.
i have received inquiries about how i was trained by spirit as a psychologist.
i was led to many sources of enlightenment.
books routinely was i led to that it was important i read.
hi zech,
sorry...i had read about a color test in the internet before...they provided a full psychological profile...that not surprisingly fit to every personality (similar to horoscopes).
to your test...i guess its kind of pointless after reading your explaination...but anyway
i would list them the following way:
31472560
by the way..i think it depends on the exact colors...you should post a picture instead of that list.
PS: i am an agnostic

pom,
once again you have demonstrated your lack of knowledge.
>>>I am one of the guys that knows the fossil record is completely absent of transitional life forms.<<<
a) this statement is wrong. there are transitional forms (several hundered actually).
b) transitional forms are rather rare because these forms exist only for relatively short periods of time...only during changes in environment conditions on the planet or if a new ecological niche gets available. lifeforms that are as well as possible adapted to the environment don't change.
>>>The earth is a cyclic biological entity.....<<<
where in hell did you get that nonsense from? have you looked at the actual nitrogen cycle? do you know what cyanobacteria (nitrogen fixing bacteria) are? have you heard of photosynthesis as the mechanism by which most biomass is produced?
by the way...do you have any hard evidence that you base the global flood story on? since you didn'T post any facts yet i have the impression the answer to that question is NO.
one last thing...what science books do you read and who recommended them to you???

pom,
still waiting!
my sister who is still a jw called me today and was talking to me about my "situation".
i said to her that i am studing, doing research and trying to find my way and what i believe.. i said how mum said is pleading for me to go back to the meetings and i said to my sister that i cannot make up my own mind if i am at the meetings.
her reply was "the only way you can is at the meetings because that is where you get holy spirit from.".
outoftheorg,
excellent post! its very true...they get very agitated (at least the ones have some doubts) when talking about teachings that are obviously not true.

i'm still waiting for the evidence supporting a great flood!

zech,
i never said god cannot exist. i never said this universe was not perhaps created. what i said was that god - if he exists - does not interfere with the world. the world is following the physical laws - whether they are the result of intelligent design or of chance. there is NO evidence that a higher power interefered after the universe came into existence.
i personally view it as more likely that the physical laws of the universe were not the result of intelligent design becuase there is simply too much wrong with this universe - but that is my opinion and not scientific fact.
scientific fact is however, that there is no spirit changing the world in any way.
hee hee, just heard it on cnn - decline of almost 25% in america of almost all bird species.....they didn't specifically talk about the vulture population though (sigh).
LOL
is an increasing vulture population actually a sing of the last days???
