its not the sugar thats modified...its the organism that produces the alcohol (yeast or bacteria)...the problem with Rum is that the alcohol goes through steps of destillation which probably destroyes the protein that causes the glowing...so you would have to add the enzyme into the Rum at the end.

i really can't imagine, after reading so many of their articles and books, that the manipulation is by chance.
it's one thing to really believe what you are writing will help people and try to maintain authority when doing so, but i've found too many examples of outright verbal abuse.

the stuff is not toxic. its an absolutely harmless protein...green fluorescent protein (GFP). its in use for quite a while already...used in transgenic animals...there are glowing fish, frogs etc.

very good post...however, i don't think the idea behind intervening in foreign countries is genuinly good...its not most of the time...its aimed at protecting US industry interests and NOT to help the poeple in the respective country or the average american!
do you really think the US freed kuwait to help the kuwaities? or bombed vietnam to help the vietnamese? or put sanctions against japan before 1942 to help the chinese and koreans? in all these cases it was not the main intention to help people but to protect the US industry and US influence in the world.

is it just me but do the society have a fixation on the nazis and the relatively few witness martyrs?.
i was skimming through the jan 15th 2003 watchtower, and came across a couple of photos of brothers who were in concentration camps that i must have seen a 100 times before.
then, on the back there something about ones who died at the hands of the nazis in hungary.. now dont get me wrong, i know that what happen at the hands on the nazis was truly awful, and that many of those who died were people whose faith at least i can admire.
the JWs in germany were executed not for being witnesses but for refusing to become soldiers...big difference in my opinion.
i'm sitting here in the serverroom freezing my buns off and the issue of the child abuser and what to do with him or her was being kicked around.
we got the standard shot the bastards in the head etc,.
should they get any treatment at all or should they just be shot?.
kill them??? these people are mentally ill for christ sake! they should undergo treatment and perhaps should get castrated but certainly not killed!
