  I deleted them immediately as well.

  If someone had a question seeking advice, they would ask it in the text of their message, and not in an attachment.

  hardly anyone has an honest opinion about anything of importance that wasnt craftily pre-packaged and handed to them by someone else whose job it is to craft public opinion.

  the intention of the media is to present the illusion of impartially informing, all the while pandering to prejudice and ignorance in order to persuade to a particular point of view.

  datelines presentation of the watchtowers child abuse issue was a case study in the black art of media propaganda.. from the very beginning of the presentation dateline was intent on giving the public a negative impression of jehovahs witnesses by portraying us all as oddball crackpots whose religion revolves around the doctrine that we dont celebrate birthdays and that all non-believers are possessed by the devil and that we want them all to die.

  Over and over again you choose to ignore the facts and evade the truth when you are indeed exposed.

  How many times did I post the contradictions in your statements? How many times did I quote the WTBTS literature which you as a loyal JW are not allowed to question yet you do time and again?

  The people who read these threads see you for the fake that you are.

  Every time you open your mouth, you insert your foot.

  From the context of your posts it would seem you possess at least a low-grade of intelligence.

  How you choose to not acknowledge the fact you blindly support a corrupt religion, and yet and still you continue to be evasive when facts are brought to the surface, is beyond me.

  What a sad state of affairs to witness an old man caught up in his own little dream world, then watch as he feebly attempts to convince others of his imaginary prophecies of imminent destruction.

  To compound upon that, you continuously make remarks which intend to insult the intelligence of the others on this discussion board.

  Instead of being evasive, why not address the pertinent issues I have raised OVER AND OVER AGAIN?

  non-jw family might hire jw nanny--r we crazy?

  we are a non-jw family with 2 kids under 5 thinking about hiring a jw live in nanny.

  she is in her 30's, active jw.

  we all have talked about mutual respect for each others religions, and all agreed to a hands off policy.

  I don't think you have anything to worry about. Not all JWs are exactly dying to convert you.
  Your biggest concern is the time off needed for religious meetings and if you're cool with that, she probably will make a great nanny. Personally, even with my present views about the religion, I'd still consider and possibly prefer a JW to others for the position you are seeking to fill.

  An EXTREMELY reasonable statement.

  While I despise JW's for their doctrine and the effects their beliefs have on families and children, I will say that there are definitely some honest, well-intended, hard-working people within the religion.

  She may make a wonderful nanny.

  A Nanny usually gets very close to the children.It's like adding another family member.
  Yes,they may agree to respect your beliefs and may even promise not to preach to your children but they can't help themselves.

  Your children will not get the special attention they deserve on their birthdays or any of the other holidays.
  The children will be preached to every time the Nanny explains why her "Bible trained" conscience won't allow her to support your family with these celebrations.

  On top of everything else she will not be healthy for your children's self esteem

  I must respectfully disagree.

  Seems you are generalizing and have already predetermined that someone else you have never met will do. You are being just as judgmental and prejudice as they are to automatically assume and stereotype every JW based off your own experience or belief.

  I for one am NOT a JW-supporter. I think anyone who has read my posts on this board knows that. However, in my lifetime I have encountered some older JW's who were extremely loving, sincere, kind-hearted people who were absolutely wonderful with children.

  Your comments are no different than saying someone who just because he/she is a Catholic nanny would spend all of his/her time trying to convert the client's children to Catholicism. Or that all Muslim nannies spend their time indoctrinating children with the notion that many here in America are Zionist infidels who will perish by Allah's sword.

  Thank you Nathan for reposting Farkel's comments on Fred Franz and the WTBTS interpretation of Daniel.

  The totally crackpot doctrine I'm going to present is still official doctrine of the Watchtower society, although it is rarely mentioned anymore (for good reason).

  Yep, it sure is still official doctrine. The WTS has not published any literature with "New Light" refuting the "Old Light".

  Few new JW converts in the last 10 years or so know anything about this old absolutely ridiculous biblical interpretation.

  Kudos to you for posting reminders which expose the JW's for the "false prophet" they are and have been time and again.
