JW.org and recruitment
by Illuminated indo you believe the marketing of jay w org will convert more people or help inactive ones remain indoctrinated?

Thank you awake at last, that's really interesting! I hope that happens to tons of inactive witnesses. I think so many live for so long with a very heavy guilt. To educate themselves, without that even being their first intent, heals the mind and heart. -

It's because they're absolutely desperate about their image and appearing modern and with it.
I still haven't gotten an answer to this....aren't they concerned directing people to a website will expose them to other sites they don't want them to see?? Yes they themselves can bookmark the official, but people on the street are going to see that other stuff too if they Google it.

Meaningful Study
by Awake at last ini never thought i would be commenting, let alone starting a new topic in the category of bible research and study.
anyone reading my comments on this site would have realised that i am the most unspiritual person to have ever stepped foot inside a kh.
yet for the first time in my life, on saturday night, i did some meaningful bible study/research, on my own without a wtbts publication in sight, except the nwt bible.

I am very interested in this....I can't stomach watching the video, but I want to know how often or strongly they get everyone to watch these videos. My witness niece acted like I was stupid a couple years ago when I mentioned they discourage college. She said 'no they don't!'
Does every witness watch these videos??

Lets pretend jw's disappeared
by atheist_R_stupid inand joined your ranks.... this means...youre talking about a people, that currently are pushing no sex till marriage.
that would end and join into the messages you currently push regarding youths and sex.
that would be sex, with condoms.

My husband came to a large dinner at my new church about 6 months after we left, and said he couldn't believe there could be so many decent people under one roof.
i think many witnesses secretly believe many more people than just witnesses would be saved at Armageddon, they know them from work, and school, KNOW they are good people. I've heard some elders privately say this...very privately, and only if they completely trust you.
If jws disappeared, there would be no affect on the world, not really. People who like a lot of rules would join Church of God or something. But guess what...a whole lot of families would be back together.

Decided to sign up...
by campaign of hate inso i decided to sign up after many years of lurking.
started researching after finding out about ray franz, which inevitably brought me to this site.. i'm still well and truly inn, but don't want to give any information out, i'm sure you guys know the reasons.. since "jay double you .
org" came online, there has been a definite sense of hysteria with everyone who is "inn", and i get a feeling it's going to get a whole lot crazier as the years press on.. one point i would like to raise is that i feel, without a doubt, that 2034 is going to be the new finish line.

In search of WWWW (What's Wrong with Watchtower)
by Fernando inin more than 40 years of doorknocking not a single person was ever able to sit down with me and kindly and patiently explain exactly "what's wrong with watchtower" in simple terms and baby-steps that i could grasp at the time.. of course i have to admit it is not as easy as one might hope.. this morning one possible (not simple enough) summary came to mind:.
the bible promotes belief in jesus and the liberating and transforming gospel message about him (in both the nt and ot).. the watchtower instead promotes belief in a visible golden calf and pseudo-mediator between god and man in the form of:.
blind authoritarian clerics who have co-opted the word "elder" and turned it into a title (aka apostate "clericalism").

Perry, it's true! Most Christian religions do believe that eventually the tent of God will reside with humans on earth. It's something that they don't dwell on tho, because Heaven is the first step...and the bible doesn't give much detail about it. There is not much rash speculation in Christendom about this, but those of us who study our religions know this is a tenet of our beliefs. So for witnesses to constantly say, 'false Christianity' doesn't believe in everlasting life on earth, this is untrue. -

What is phenomenally impressive is that they can set a date for the end of the world, and than string people along for over a hundred years!!!! Those are some FINE manipulation skills, right there!
I too doubt they will say anything outright about specific dates in the next few decades, but they will give little hints suggesting they are in the know, which will drive the crowds wild.
I want to ask again, didn't receive an answer...with all this official website promoting they're doing, aren't they concerned people will see sites like this one on the same Google page? Because it's not like they can say to a person on the street, 'be careful about those other sites, those are evil schemes...'
