  How to spot: a single JW sister

  i remember this time of year when jw's desend en mass on one area.

  a fun game to play is "spot the..." whatever jw walking stereotype you choose.. so i thought i would play it with you guys, starting with how to spot a single jw sister.. i say, she will be dressed up to the nines, probably over dressed in fact, have hair immaculately coffied, make up plastered on, towering heels and be smiling at every brother in site.

  all they need is a sign saying "pioneer, virgin, available for marriage!".

  A very attractive young sister in our old hall just got engaged to a brother that looks literally like a russet potato.

  Vidiot I agree. They are obsessed with control of every situation and faders must drive them nuts. To discern between people who really don't believe them anymore and just want to avoid trouble, and those who still believe but are inactive, there may be some 'loving provision from jehovah' for inactive to become active and people who just can't make themselves live a lie to take a stand. Getting NAMES tho...must be a way to try to track those who are posting on sites and do some detective work to figure out who is who. I hope it's less ominous than that, but if not, why would the branch care to know their names? This is not that benign of an organization.

  i thought paradise was supposed to be a delight?

  not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.

  still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

  The language in that article, their vision of 'paradise', the eternal chastisement and need to follow 'instruction'"..... It really would be like living in North Korea. Forever. People would be pining for that test of loyalty when Satan is released, just so they could get out of there!!

  If their motive is to find out WHY, they can just come to places like this and see threads like 'what woke you up?' I think it's more about control than research.

  interesting that it's Poland. They've been free to worship there only since The early 90's.

  Mrs. Eden I just read on your husbands post of all the pressure you are under because of family. You will eventually have to reach deep inside and summon the strength that you have in you to stand up to them and finally claim your own life.   Lol COH, I really wonder what exactly would happen!

  They would freak out, for sure...because it's loyalty to the org they really care about, and the org's name starts with 'Jehovah'!

  Wouldn't want to be a rebel now, would you? No, the real rebel was Russell, scorning the religious establishment. Luther was a rebel too, starting a Chrisitianity that wasn't part of the Catholic Church. And way before him, was the rebel Jesus, who heartily disagreed with the religious leaders of his time.

  But rebels at the Kingdom Hall, not allowed. They might stop talking to you if you said Yahweh.

  How I WISH I was never in any sort of file with this organization!!! It's like having your identity stolen, you see the effects years later. Or it's like unwittingly joining the mafia, having to go in the 'witness protection program' (ironic name). Or it's like the CIA or living in McCarthyism, and they've got a file on you somewhere.

  If you are lurking and considering joining this religion, heed my words. Want to lose your sense of privacy? Want big brother watching you? Then go ahead.

  In genesis there are many vague mentions of faithful ones being 'gathered to their fathers' after death. It could mean being buried with them, or rejoining them in an afterlife.
