  jw.org cart days numbered?

  reading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?

  i bet its very minimal.

  naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.

  Inside the KH, I wonder why you come here. I'm very curious. Is it to represent the viewpoints of a true witness? Defend the Truth? You are never confrontational like some other witnesses that come here. Do you come here to see what 'the other side' is saying? You never say anything negative against the society, do you not feel anything negative, or can you just not bring yourself to say anything negative. Why do you go against the policy of not going on apostate sites?

  i wish i knew what it was like to have an unconditionally loving mother.

  i know she loves me and cares about me, but only within her narrow wt spectrum.

  if i do not meet her narrow expectations, i am a failure to her.

  Respectful observer, you obviously love your mother unconditionally!!

  If only more of our parents would say about us what you say about your mother. 'I know they will never change. This is who they are and they are happy, so I'm not going to criticize them. It's their choice, they are adults. I just love them for who they are.'

  did you really believe in things as ;- the earth is only 6000 years old- the 144.000- 1914, based upon the destructiono of jerusalem- harmagheddon or the end of the world coming soon???

  ?i married a jw when i was an interested person and studying with the jw's ( not the way they wanted) but i told my wife before marrying her that " most probably " i would never have been a jw.she accepted me as i was and married me.

  after that i had interrupted the study for one year, i started all over again with an elder of my wife's cong.

  Sloppyjoe....yeah, when they changed the interpretation of 'generation' it was SO obvious that they had to because time ran out and they couldn't possibly sustain that anymore. But they didn't even admit that at the time. They called it new light.

  I feel so stupid for ever feeling hopeful it would come in the 80's as promised. Maybe I was sympathizing with the 10 year old kid in the wheelchair who REALLY wanted the paradise to come so he could walk...I wanted it to come for him.

  it all seems like such a fairytale now. To be outside looking in, how can such otherwise intelligent people believe it. I guess because their friends do. And their friends believe it because THEY do.

  Jehovahs Witness Shunning & the Crusades

  while discussing being mistreated by my own jw family last night with my wife, i wanted to try to make her think critically about what shunning really is, and at its root what how beneficial it is.

  earlier in the day i sent her non-apostate scholarly article on religious shunning being tantamount to psychological torture.

  and most witnesses don't think into much about why they do things, its more of a "this is the way we do it, don't over think it" process.

  If you said at the door 'my religion won't let me talk to apostates', the witnesses would ask what religion is that? And be very curious how a religion could be so cruel and closed minded. And never even think that they do that themselves. Seriously.

  Who Will Be The Next Member Of The Governing Body To Defect From The Corporation?

  i know it is a loaded question.. what about wealthy anthony morris iii?

  or mark sanderson or geoffrey jackson?

  Was pretty sure the flood couldn't have drowned literally the whole earth, since species such as kangaroos were only found in Australia, and have been there tens of thousands of years, at least.

  Felt that paul was sexist and put his thoughts on women in the bible as his own opinion.

  believed the world could get a HECK of a lot worse whenever witnesses said 'the end is so close, the world can't get worse.'

  believed in apemen, didn't know how they fit in the grand scheme of things. Thought they might be another species. Believed in carnivorous dinosaurs.

  Believed that astronomers would find other planets outside the solar system. Was rebuked by witnesses until it happened.

  Was pretty sure evolution was real. Especially sure that micro evolution was real, didn't know why witnesses would never say that.

  Thought perhaps sex before marriage isn't such a bad thing now that there is birth control. The whole point was preserving the family arrangement, wasn't it? Making sure babies knew who their fathers were.

  Was pretty sure I would never let a child of mine die who needed blood.

  was skeptical of the anointed 'knowing' they were anointed. How, exactly??

  hell seemed pretty fiery in a few of the passages. Seemed pretty obvious witnesses simply chose not to believe in it. Am currently in a religion that doesn't choose to believe in a fiery hell either, and I'm still not sure, but I like it better this way.

  i was sure gay people were born gay and in most cases it was not a choice.

  highly doubted witnesses were the only ones going to survive Armageddon. Thought perhaps a third of the world would be destroyed, as it says in revelation.
