I completely agree with Lisa Rose. You were born like this. You've been fighting it your whole life. It sounds like this person who have been with recently is the one for you and you can be happy if you just let yourself be. Please research the religion you were brought up in. Jwfacts is best. United church of Christ would be a good one for you I agree. You need some love and acceptance in yor life and less judgment and guilt. If you have been separated from your wife for two years the news will come more easily for her. This will probably messy yes, with your birth family and kids too maybe. But you are miserable, honey. Suicide isn't the answer. Living as you are meant to live is the answer. -

by jacobm inif any other christians can answer this:.
what is the role of the believer in this day of the church (the body of christ, not the building)?.

I as a protestant completely confer with what David Jay said. In our church we are encouraged to do what we can to spread Gods kingdom on the earth now, trying to make the earth and our community better in everything that we do. And also to know Jesus so intimately that we become like him, and can be Jesus' hands on the earth, helping the old and the sick and the lonely wherever possible. -

Sowhatnow was the closest. I know this from personal experience. She is embarrassed that you don't go with her, and she feels lonely. She sees 'everyone else' supported by their husbands, sees complete families all together, but she sits there alone. She thinks about it on the lonely drive home and gets mad at you for doing this to her.
I would suggest planning something to do together after the meeting, maybe take her out to lunch Sundays when she gets home, like you probably used to do when you were both going.

Your Thoughts: My wife said...her service friend. speculated Prince would leave his vast fortune to the Society!
by goingthruthemotions inso, talking with my wife yesterday.
she was out cart witnessing (barf) and one of the people she was with claimed to have know prince, or meet him or something like that.
well anyways...they or her or someone (they are all braindoogled) speculated or fantasized that since prince did not have any relatives or something or the other.

The Prince conundrum
by ElderEtta in2 questions remain in the passing of brother prince:.
will an autopsy, that won't be made available for several weeks, reveal that he died of a drug overdose?.
did prince bequeath a large sum of money to watchtower corporation upon his passing?.

Hallelujah, his sister is getting it all!!! I was actually so worried the society freaks would get millions. Lets hope Tyka isnt the least bit a JW sympathizer but that she loved the social causes her brother cared about. -

That is so interesting how he said prince was a Jehovah's witness and not ALLOWED to talk about all the humanitarian things he was doing!
We all know that he was a humanitarian DESPITE being a JW not because of it. But also he donated to social justice causes and knew he wasn't allowed to but did it anyway!!

Faith, where now?
by Theburstbubble inso for the first time ever i went to a church service at my local church (coe) and i have to say it was awful!
it was just like a ritual.
the vicar would say something and then the congregation would all say a phrase in unison back to him.

One can be both spiritual and religious if that is ones personality.
Worshipping in community feels really good to me. I absolutely love it. I know it's not for everyone. But if someone desires to do so, why suggest otherwise? As long as high control churches are avoided and you realize no church is filled with perfect people, it's lovely. I had no one but a few exwitness friends before I joined a new church. They are my family now.

TBB you didn't go to a church that was right for you, so keep looking. I will send you a PM about my experience, but different churches appeal to different people, and vary widely in their coverage of Scripture vs. Traditions. Sounds like you tried a Catholic one? Or Episcopalian since you mentioned vicar. I've been to an Episcopalian service that was not overly ritualistic, just right. But maybe you are in the UK and it was Anglican? -

Prince is dead.
by DATA-DOG inhas anyone heard about this?
that really sucks.
lots of dubs are talking.

It doesn't make much sense to me either, sparrow. But Prince has always been antiestablishment. Maybe going against the grain and joining a 'rebel' religion such as the witnesses would appeal to him. Plus he grew up Adventist which was a third of the way there. -

How About We Call It "The Trance" Instead of "The Truth"
by xjwsrock inlet's see if it works as a replacement in common phrases:.
"how long have you been in the trance?".
"when did you come into the trance?".

I once thought The Lies worked well, but The Trance is better...flows more easily off the tongue and shares consonants with the original. Plus that is the effect of brainwashing, they are hypnotized by this thing we have woken up from. Good suggestion and I'll try to remember to use it.
