  "why is taking 1 Liter of whole blood as a transfusion a gross misuse of the "symbol" of life, but accepting a blood protein which requires DOZENS of liters of blood in order to refine one dose is OK???? In other words, consume 1 liter directly is bad, but consuming dozens of liters indirectly is OK???? Doesn't the "respect the symbol of life" argument fall apart there? It does for me, but maybe you have a different way of rationalizing it."

  This goes for a lot of us on this board. Why am I here? Because it has affected my life and there are great people here for support. How is my life? Never been better. I am not depressed, I am better educated, I am stronger, I am less socially awkward. I am a better person. (Oh and I do not deal drugs and I am not a prostitute either. hah)

  i'm 21 years old and currently in a relationship with a baptised jw.

  i have been studying with the jws for 2 years before we met.

  well, i have to admit, i did not enjoy studying with them until about 10 months ago when i became interested of digging the "truth" although it means my sources was only the jw.

  I truly understand...I have been there, several times. In fact, one time I posted here. I could not sleep at night and I was suicidal. I posted here asking for help, and the outpouring I got made me cry and it made me realize that there are wonderful people out there and if you are gone, you can not enjoy them. Humans are survivors, so how come some of us just do not feel the need to survive? That has always bugged me.
  
  No matter how bad it gets-there is always a way out...there is always a reason to hang on.

  i've had the same queen size bed for about six years.

  after putting "quite a few miles" very uncomfortable.

  last week, after too many sleepless nights and waking up with back aches i ordered a new king size sealy posturepedic (the kind with a thick comfort pillow layer .

  820???? Jeese...I thought my 400 egyptian cotten was luxiory... Anyway I have a king size too...never ever would I go lower. I want to have a really nice down comfortor but I do not want to skimp and get a cheap one, so I have to save some $$$. I also have to wait till my dog stops eating her rawhides (leaving marks) on my bed...

  My father(elder) wont let me borrow music!

  hey there everyone,.

  well my saga continues.... for those who don't know i am getting married this being my second time round, only difference is im marrying a non believer.

  i have been fading from the truth for bout 3 years now.. anyway just a short time ago my father (elder) suggested that they look after my son so my new husband and i could have a honeymoon.

  Es! I WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING! My family did not want to come because it would show support...even though I was unbaptized myself. I "leaked" this info to close relatives who were not JW's. My moms sister who she is close with talked to my mom and of course it looks like a "bad witness". That and I think going to the assembly helps although they are good about not pressuring me. Currently, my family IS planning on going to the wedding although I think that is where their participation stops.
  
  Do you have any "unbelieving" relatives?
