which i think you guys call a fader...so far i'm pretty much got away with it.
my close family are in the truth love them to bits and i seriously dont want to alienate them- my story is a positive one, they have accepted that i dont go to meetings anymore and although they arent pleased they accept my viewpoint.
i am not a bitter ex-witness, i enjoyed my time meeting people while i was a witness although a lot shunned me after and a few years before i went 'public'

Shaolu,
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for going to such lengths to be able to share this with us all.
I only wish that I had heard/read something like this 30 years ago, before I got drawn into the Organisation.
This JC farce should help many people to see just what this mind-controlling cult is really like.
Can you imagine Jesus acting the way these elders did.

i have just seen the video with the jw spiritual leader giving evidence in a court case.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2o4lbgx81u there he says,.
"we dont use the word, shunning".

Yes, this was the video relating to Alamb's court case. It would be interesting to find out how things are going for her. Does anyone know the outcome of the court case?
Is there any documentation showing that the JWs turn a blind eye to lying if it's in the interest of the Society. I know that they "excused" Abraham for lying to the Pharoah regarding his wife, saying it was his sister. A blatant lie in no uncertain terms.

To save ones looking for a link, this is the link that we watched it on.

Wow, we have only just viewed this video, we somehow must have missed it earlier on in the year.
It's too good to let it fade away, so I hope no-one will object if I bring it back into active topics. There are so many newbies that have come onto the JWD in the last few months, and probably many others who would appreciate watching this video.
Thanks to you all

in a court of law you tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth (hand on bible) if you don't do this it could lead to a prison sentence, thats how serious lying is considered.
(by the world).
therefore when elders discuss the wellbeing of a brother or sister especially in a judicial meeting where they invite god to oversee through prayer in that meeting, if they do not get their facts correct, or worse, they lie about an individual, could this be considered to be an act of perjury, after all you could not get a greater judge than jehovah to make sure you present your facts correct and truthful to.
A Lie, according to the dictionary is
AN INTENTION TO DECEIVE .........

i've been really into indian lately myself, but went to a decent jamacian restaurant the other day.. the reason i'm asking is because my wife and i decided that once a week we're going to try making something totally different together, kind of a way to spend time together and at the same time eating awesome food (if it turns out) other then going to a restaurant.
i'm kind of looking for different ideas of what to make.. kwin.
My husband's favourite meal is chicken dhansack (Indian) and he's been trying to get a good authentic recipe for 40 years !
As an ex-refrigeration engineer, he's even worked in a couple of indian kitchen as a swap for the recipe, but no success, they keep it well guarded, He must have 100 cookery books !!!!
I love Italian food, (I'm veggie and pasta with a really good sauce can be so good)

dear readers of revelation,.
i have been reminded that a simple question is more effective than an elaborate presentation.
i have become very careful about what i say and how much i say to most people.
Hi CoCo
It's really interesting that you have come across disfellowshipping, due to ones questioning the Society's artwork.
This picture of Jesus with the sceptre, has been quite troubling - we saw it a few years ago and couldn't find a reasonable excuse for it to be there. It's creepy. I agree that you can see faces and images in most things, but some are definately weird.
Don't these pictures get checked before they go for printing ????
