If everything was rosey in TOMO3 camp and he just got too old or ill, then the same should happen to Herd and Loach as they are older and will be getting senile soon if not already.

Also if everything was rosey then they would have talked about it, even had him on one of the talk shows or interview thanking him for his hard work all these years

the situation is many of us are pima and all putting on a front, sometimes saying something we don’t fully believe.

or at least are actually agnostic about but a hope that it’s true.. but it can be useful if someone is really going through a hard time or has something they are very worried about, to say things like well let’s hope there is not much longer of this old system.. this can be useful in an awkward situation where you just don’t know what to do or say.

it’s a little bit of hope that can help when there is nothing else.. my agnosticism just means i won’t look back over decades thinking i wasted my life.

The fossil record shows only human skulls. No different from human skulls today. No evolutionary changes at all.

And only skulls from any other animal are the same as today.

Any fossils of any creatures that are still around to compare to today show no changes whatsoever. They are the same.

The real elephant in the room is why did evolution stop? Why are there no half species today?

If there have been evidence found of monkeys or any other animal evolving into humans then please show me the evidence. Just one skull?

If it happens over billions of years there should be a lot of skulls found.

Just one that is not fake would be enough.

Cofty and others try to say the missing link has been found

The vast majority of Christians accept the fact of evolution.

Evolution can not be fact until it can be proven. If it could be proven it would have been already.

It is still the theory of evolution.

All anthropology and the the fossil record shows no evolutionary evidence at all. There has never been found proof of the theory of evolution.

There have been plenty of fake monkey/human skulls and some of them are on display at the science museum. They even tell you they are fake based on concepts. Well why has one never been found along with the dinosaur discoveries?

It may well be found one day which is why I remain sitting on the fence but as I have said the question has to be asked why has nothing been found yet?

They use the scripture about “inner rooms” a lot. There were pictures in the publications of groups meeting in lofts or cellars long before the bunker video.

In the bunker video they have the armed police as the baddies but after the KH shooting the armed police were praised for their job.

Dang Wow didn't know how fast rumors spread in JW land. Someone heard from long time prominent JWs that Tony was in car accident. Other from bethelits that he was removed from bethel. Others that he was still in. Other bethelits said that he was sick and hade to abandon Bethel. Wonder what rumours going around me now that I don't attend meetings 😂

On the one hand we are told as elders not to deal with rumour's only facts. But when there is a rumour that someone has possibly been immoral the elders are all over them asking questions. They say we can’t deal with rumours only facts but what if you can’t get the facts because the person doesn’t want to reveal? The elders push and push to get the details.

I remember one case of a brother who was rumoured to be having an affair. He eventually left his wife and stopped coming to meetings. He had no contact whatsoever with the elders even when they tried to ambush him coming home they were hiding waiting for a long time. They said we have to talk and he didn’t say anything so they had nothing.

they say this is wrong they have to get the details but actually this is exactly what they are doing and hoping for with TM3. They hope them not saying anything and it will go away

Joined an online meeting incognito

got a link for a zoom meeting and thought id share my experience about the mid-week meeting.. guessing about 100 - 120 in cong.. 50 on zoom, only 8 with cameras on - all elderly.

watching from a detached point of view it's so obvious at how it is nothing but a glorified sales meeting, all designed to promote the org.

inspirational videos about how everyone can/ should do more to help with projects, in particular how to look after the kingdom hall, complete with bar charts showing levels of achievement to aspire to.. interestingly, tonights book study is about alcohol..

It’s an easy way to fade to just go on zoom with no cam for six months then one meeting every month or so ignore all elders contact

then go a year or more without attending on zoom or anything and you are no longer a witness

once you are no longer known as a witness you can do what you like and you won’t be announced so won’t be shunned

or at least you have that option, you could decide to be one of those ones who still goes to meetings every now and then to keep your hand in

Well, I know I didn't say this in my OP. The girl's dad and I said anytime they are together there will be an adult chaperone to prevent such things as pregnancy. When I was there for my son to meet the father, neither the girl nor my son seemed to know the first thing about being in a relationship. How to act. They were both trying very hard to show respect to the adults. Her dad and I noticed this.

This is why I think it would be a good idea. The kids need to learn how to be in a relationship at this age to know how to be in a REAL relationship later in life. If they learn now (as we did back in the 70's) then later relationships become easier to manage and not filled with all sorts of drama

It sounds like you know this relationship will fail and you just want your son to have experience. That is unfair to the girl.

I wouldn’t want my daughter to be used like this.

The JW way really is a protection don’t mess around with peoples feelings.
