i was just in chat saying how a few good friends of mine tell me i need to leave this all behind in order to leave the jws behind.. well, my answer is no!.
i celebrate this board and all it has done for me, and to those of you who complain about fluff and anti-fluff and what this board should be and what it shouldn't be; i don't give a toss.. the result is in what it does for individuals, not what it looks like, or whether would make a good story.. i will continue to check this site daily, and although my "worldly" friends have my best interests at heart, i can see in the cold light of day what this site does, even if it is evolving and contains "fluff", or does anything else.
let the tens of thousands of sites who speak the truth ring out, and let this site do what it does best!!
I have thought about leaving this sight behind foir the sake of my fiance', but for some reason I need the rush of hearing about the destruction or proof that the org. is a cult and maybe just maybe a point will arise that my family that are still in it will realize why I left.
It is hard to know all that is wrong with the org. that you once loved and caused your family to accept it as deeeply as you once did.
So I continue to waste time hereas many here do.
yesterday i was in london city centre.. there were 14 salvation army people helping the homeless and street drifters get a meal and check on their health.
the sa were concerned for these people, blue with cold (it was -5 yesterday), yet doing there best to help those who were defenseless and at risk.
at the same time were 3 jw's at the other end of shaftsbury ave selling mags.. which was the true christians, those who helped ones who could not return the gift - or the preachers?.
yes, they are both cults, but one helps the needy while the other sells magizine.

worker compensation laws should be available to you if you call the labour board and report the incidences to them and explain .
Better yet the next time you get hurt at Bethal go to the hospital and tell them you were hurt on the job at the WTBTS factory. This will go on a report to the Department of labour with when how and why.
If the WTBTS dosen't pay into the workers comp fund they can be fined, and accessed penalties and investigated.
At lease that is how it works in California.
If you are hurt on the job the hospital bills the Company and they had better had a workers compensation policy.
I think the State of New York would work the same.

as many of you know, i struggle from time to time with depression and even suicidal thoughts.
i was thinking yesterday that the next time i get to feeling that way i would remember very simple things that bring me great joy and tie those to a sensory experience that i can bring up in my mind to remind me of how good life really is to snap me out of those deep foul moods.
so here are my 5.. taste -- the taste of my mother's pecan cookies warm out of the oven.. smell -- the smell of my yard after a spring rain.. sight -- the sight of the north georgia mountains' fall leaves.. sound -- the heart touching songs from les miserables.. touch -- the feel of getting my back scratched by mitch.. please feel free to add your 5.. hugs.

i seriously doubt that anyone could actually live strictly by the jw rules and "suggestions" give by the society and the congregation.
like the catholic church, there are now so many rules you cannot follow them all.
unlike the catholic church, the dubs to not allow you to use your head and deviate when you want.. i remember my first wife struggling to live by dub rules.
