Sounds like another organisation that has documents on offenders of sexual abuse of children and failed to report and lots of money in the bank .
Maybe they will file for bankruptcy and restructure to save paying compensation to the victims.

A Better View of Trauma

trauma is not your fault, but healing is your responsibility.
what happened to you was not your fault.. it was not something you asked for, it was not something you deserved.. what happened to you was not fair.. you were merely collateral damage on someone else’s warpath, an innocent bystander who got wrecked out of proximity.. we are all traumatized by life, some of us from egregious wrongdoings, others by unprocessed pain and sidelined emotions.

Very true
Recently left a abusive relationship after many years on the way to becoming a survivor and no longer a victim with the help of domestic abuse agency's .
That also help me that I was in a abusive religion , they both use the same tactics to control all aspects of your life and slowly erode the person you are,in the process of fading from JWs ,
This forum has been a great help in the recovery process so on the road to being a survivor of the abusive cult.

I want to try something new, any ideas?
by Tameria2001 innormally when jws come to my door, i very quickly tell them i'm not interested in the jws.
and for about a year or so they don't come until that time passes.
well, they came by today, but this time i decided to not tell them to go away but had a nice conversation with the two that were at my door.

The ministry school taught us to be friendly and get common ground.
We all hate people being mistreated and abused mention about JW in Russia on the news let them agree and talk about that for a while then when appropriate mention about the child abuse law suits on the news , they will struggle to say it's apostate because they have already agreed with the news media coverage of JWs in Russia.

My email to JW Following Trolley Conversation
by cofty ina few weeks ago i had an really interesting conversation with three male jws who were loitering around a trolley at the west end of princes street in edinburgh.. i managed to completely avoid giving any hint about my jw past and focussed on why they thought the bible was a reliable moral guide.
i used the subject of slavery to illustrate my concerns.. one of the three was in his early twenties, knew a lot about his own beliefs but nothing about the real life and it was difficult to get through his thought-bubble.
the second one was in his 60s and not very bright.

If you ask a JW a thought provoking question they will struggle to come up with a convincing answer,we were probably like that maybe waffle for a while then promise to call back but never would.
We were brainwashed that we are the ones who ask the thought provoking question and we already had the answer.
