  Real reasons behind this change?

  just a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.

  a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?

  maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

  I was born in 1977 & came in as a convert in 2003 --- so I have no idea what went on before my time.

  Also what was the significance of 1975 anyway? What were they saying it would bring?

  Things JWs Say That Don't Mean What They Think It Means

  sometimes things don't come across the way the speaker intended.. years ago there was an ad by the whitegoods company fisher and paykel.

  they showed them going to great lengths to get customer feedback on what was important to them.

  one customer said that she wanted it to be easy to get her appliances serviced when they broke down.

  this is going to break the hearts of a lot of uber-jw's!

  reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".

  Any advice for my situation?

  hey, this community was so helpful last time i didnt know how to handle a situation years ago, and here i am all theae years later back on here asking for some advice again on how to handle a certain situation with my kids.

  little bit of backstory.. i'm an non jw, been divorced from my ex wife (practicing jw) for about 6 years now.

  have 3 kids 7, 10, 13. .

  How yourEx wife lives her life is not of your concern. Get rid of your selfish controlling ego and let it go. It's not worth your energy nor is it your place. Focus on your own relationships & your own life.

  Mental health treatment

  i'm actually not a jw, but i've always been curious about the religion since it always had an esoteric vibe to it.

  i was raised catholic, but more than half my life i've struggled with my faith, and therefore, i've defaulted to the agnostic position.. i'm sorry, let me get to my question.

  i've struggled with mental illness for most of my life.

  It's discouraged but not banned by JW. It makes sense - they don't really help much anyway. The best you can do for mental health issues it what the Bible says to do for everyone: keep a healthy mind & body ( be selective about what you put in both) & take and live life one day at at time ( don't take on too much of a mental burden).

  using a phone app nowadays, there are earthquakes detected in one place after another but is this what jesus meant and did they have so many earthquakes throughout the centuries affter his prophecy or are these modern day detected earthquakes unique to this epoch?

  how can we be sure unequivocally that modern day earthquakes are part of the sign fulfilling bible prophecy?.

  Famine- the widespread absence of spiritual truth/food.

  Pestilence- spiritual sickness. As described in 2 Timothy 3:1-7. Mentally & spiritually diseased.

  Example: Our current generation of young people can't even tell what gender they were born! They play make believe with their gender & pronouns.
