Who really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave? The recent changes and the Governing Body's 10 year plan

i am sure we were all shocked at the governing body update #2 with the unusual and impulsive changes set forth.. i am an insider at whq, and when i was on reddit and in communication with avoidjw i explained to the best of my ability that the approach on disfellowshipping was going to change based on the new light at the 2023 agm, that the jubilee rumor was false, and there were going to be changes on how jws approached disfellowshipping in response to the norway situation if it didn't turn out in watchtower's favor.

the decision came because of a legal blow to watchtower, not because "holy spirit" wad directing a faithful slave, who is going to become the "evil slave", more explanation on this soon.. everything i stated came true.

i left reddit exjw community due to the immature and mentally unstable nature there, and yet as has been the case my words came true.

Elders book

so there is going to be a big elders meeting for all body’s of elder this week to go over the changes.

i would imagine a great deal of the elders book is now obsolete and it would be too big a deal to update so much, maybe they will just make a new one?.

by the sound of it there are some more very large changes on the way anyway.. adjustments to handling serious wrongdoing in the congregation (s-395): a new document entitled adjustments to handling serious wrongdoing in the congregation is available in the "forms" section of the "documents" tab on jw hub.

Okay I had a good laugh on this one! I'm American & the term jumper here is short for jumpsuit which is a one piece pantsuit that only women wear. I had no idea Europeans call sweaters jumpers until I just googled it. Lol so I was over here laughing at the thought of the men wearing women's pantsuit at the meetings!

This is an example of what American's call jumpers. In no way shape or form would we ever call a sweater a jumper - under any circumstances.

New rules for dress & greeting disfellowshipped: It's even worse!

i know they're panicking and trying to gain favor with governments, former members, prospective converts & those who are teetering, all for financial worries.

still, the latest update in some ways made things worse, and if there's any jws watching it who are beginning to wake up it should be very disturbing.. starting with dress codes: they say that suits, ties & skirts are no longer required, but in so doing they admit that they were required, something not often appearing as an explicit command in print.

(similar to how lett referred to the "policy on beards" in his video, even though this direct policy wasn't made available to rank and file.

I'm American. Here we call them pants or slacks ( pretty much the same meaning of those two words, except to say slacks maybe nicer than pants and less casual). We don't really use the word trousers much at all.

So pants are more casual like kakis or black work pants. Slacks are more formal and more like business attire.

I've never clearly understood the distinction between the 144K & other sheep other than the 2 different final destinations ( heaven/earth).

That and only 144K could partake in memorial. Mainly because as a rank & file you're attention is on other things- raising a family, living a clean Christian life, preaching etc.

Door to Door

just wondering if the witnesses still go door to door.

once in a while i see them doing their cart work and my still in relatives talk about going out in cart work, never mention door to door.

i haven't had a knock on my door since probably 2 years before covid.

Not former the emphases has always been on the preaching work, not necessarily just the door to door method. The d2d is the most popular method, yes but it's never been the only method. During Covid witnesses still preached - it just went to letter writting.

the freeman brothers of allentown pennsylvania lashed out against their strict upbringing by killing their loyal jw parents and even their younger brother.. the story made national headlines because these two had tattoos on their foreheads.

"berzerker" and "sieg heil.".

Wow.. You can never know when people will snap or who is truly rotten to the core. I hope they stay behind bars where they belong & stay away from society.

are men more compliant than women

i watched a video once of men being trained ...it was a study.

they had the men doing the most rediculous things-can't remember quite what now.

so between that video, the letter to elders to keep their mouths shut about the koolaid, and to go along with the csa protocol, and what i will call insurance fraud by the jw, and who knows what other things the men in positions in the org go along with-these things prompt the question.

I noticed that for whatever reason it's one of the greatest fears of men to be accused of sexual assault. Whether a child or women as the whistle-blower, men tend to side with the other men as if the victim is lying. I never understood this. But just look around at not only child abuse but sexual harassment & assault the victims are treated like garbage.

When I was like 4 or 5, I told my babysitters husband that his son was taking me out back and pulling down my pants & touching and licking my privates. He brushed me off & said "No, he's just straightening up your pants".

I was stunned that I was brushed off and that an adult didn't belive me. Well I went home that night & told my mom. She pulled me from that babysitter & I never saw them again.

So sad. They weren't all her relatives, some were friends.

Nobody can really know what goes through the minds of suicidal people or what is going on in their life. Seems people from every walk of life & religion go this route. It's not unique to JW's.

The Next Big Thing In WT World

things got a bit lively after the agm leaks in october.

there was a lot of discussion going on on this board for a few months.

now that all the leaks have been more or less confirmed as policy, and we've had lively discussions at length concerning the changes, things seem to have slowed down here.. a few suggestions have been raised as to what might be the next changes, such as women being allowed to wear slacks (in the usa, anyway), decoupling from 1914 as an anchoring date and others.. so, what changes do you think will be announced this year?.

Um, in case you didn't notice - most of the world was shut down. It was unprecedented time of firsts on a wide scale.
