  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Ralph! You are too funny man! Look around you? What makes you think this board is for cult members (ie JW's)? Could it be that the Christmas decorations? Maybe the fact that it says all are welcome? How about the fact that we actually talk about anything the Watchtower says as being full of crap? I couldn't care less if we change your mind. If you're happy with your nice little JW blinders on then who am I to try to change that? Thanks for the laugh though!!!

  Simler, eh, I don't care about that. Then again I'm a technology geek so the more I get the happier I am.
  As for the great tribulation, speculating on when it would begins would imply that the bible is just a strange religous book written thousands of years ago that has any relevance on our life today, which it doesn't. Yeah yeah, I know, it says be good and all that other stuff. So what? Like I need a book written by a bunch of delusional people thousands of years ago to figure that one out.

  Double Lives and Disfellowshipping

  we read a lot on here of the high number of witnesses, young and old, who have lived or are living double lives so that they will not be disfellowshipped and lose their social and family support structures.. we all know the mess this makes in people's lives and psychological health.. to me its an interesting by product of man trying to be god's policemen.

  it doesn't work.

  its a poorly constructed manmade plan that people just figure out a way to get around for the most part.. clean organization indeed.

  I remember back in the 80's my sister was friends with a couple sisters and their brother had the hots for Amy (my sister). The guy appeared to be a nice stable JW boy. That was until the night he snapped. While cleaning the car dealership (I wonder what the percentage is of JW's who clean for a living) and high as the sky he trashed the place, stole all the cash, and one of the nice new cars. Being the oh so nice guy that he was he didn't want his family to have to deal with all the heartache and pain so what did he do to prevent that? Try to kill them. He went home, covered the entire place in gas while they were sleeping and lit a match. This was in Kentucky and he was found a few days later in another stolen car in Oklahoma.
  From what I've heard the guy is now an elder in prison. Can't wait for this guy to get on the outside world again.

  just a little observation: have you noticed that the 'sisters' pictured in the magazines invariably wear long, long skirts?

  check out the feb 1st issue.

  even the housewife at the sink washing dishes has an ankle length skirt.

  No radiation problems. Common misconception though. True, meteorites do have some radiation (everything in the world does, there's more radiation in a bowl of nuts than employees are allowed to be exposed to daily at a nuclear plant) its no where even near what could do any damage even if it fell in my front yard 2 seconds ago.
  Mulan, you're not the only one with an eBay problem. Where do you think I got quite a few of my meteorites?
  Just for the record, I don't sit around watching sports while drinking cheap bear in my underwear either. I'm always nice and naked with a mixed drink watching the discovery channel.

  My favorite meteorites that I've got are either my piece of the moon that I have for sale right now for $2,200 which is well under market value or my slice of the Burnwell, KY meteorite which is the largest of its type in the world owned by a private individual. Where did I get it you ask? I did a trade with The Smithsonian in DC. How many people can say that? If I had to put a dollar value on it I'd probally say around $5,000. I don't care if you are interested in it, that thing is NOT for sale.
