  the other day, i was messaged by a young jw guy (using yahoo messenger, where i am breezyone2001; chat me up, gang!).

  his opening line to me was, "why are you attacking the witnesses?

  " i responded by asking him in what way i was attacking the witnesses, and he said that he saw my name in a yahoo club for ex-jw's.

  Following the "just because there's no proof for something doesn't mean that its not true" line of thinking, I am the mesiah reincarnated. Send me all of your money so I can start a grand ministry. I'll make the world a great place for all of us as soon as I recieve your money. What? You think I'm full of crap? Well then, what proof do you have that I'm not the mesiah and won't make the world a peachy keen place to live? You can't prove that I'm not can you? Surely that must mean that I am!

  Woman turns tables on JWs

  hello everyone.

  i would like to share this with you.in the daily mail newspaper today there was an article about a woman who was so fed up of the jws calling at her home(which they have done for the past 12yrs)she decided to stop them once and for all,each time they called she told them she was not interested but they still came,so,the other day she went to the kh whilst there was a service and knocked on the door until someone answered,when they did they were not amused,the woman then started to ask completely irrelevant questions,she remained there for about 30 minutes then the police arrived to remove her,she went quietly and said she did it to prove a point.. paul gillies, spokesman for the jws in britain,said "representives did stop calling at homes if asked",he says "if someone states they do not want a visit we make a note and avoid calling",he also says that "we go to peoples homes because we are obedient to jesus's message,we want to spread the word of jesus and offer bible studies.if people phone our national headquarters saying they didn't want visits we would contact their local congregation and let them know".. i hope you don't mind me sharing this with you guys

  I called the police on JW's before. I told them that there were some people going up to houses and poking around a bit. Didn't know who they were or why they would be doing such. What was really funny was about 10 minutes later seeing the flashing lights behind them and knowing the whole neighborhood would be wondering why these people were being stopped by the police.
  Fred, exactly what does this have to do with what she was wearing? If you were implying that the husband couldn't keep his wife in line what would that have to do witht this situation? The JWs' pissed her off so she decided to piss them off. What does her husband have anything to do with this? Besides, what right would he have to make her keep her opinions to herself? I really must be missing something here. Oh yeah, from what I've heard Jessica Alba is involved with her costar on her show? Something tells me you're not an actor.

  Is there a burning hell???

  i'm just curious what everyone's view of hell is.

  i know that most of you were at one time jws and i was wondering if you still held to the no-hell doctrine or if you had found scriptural reasons to believe otherwise.

  if the latter applies, would you be so kind as to share the scriptures that have enlightened you?.

  Let me guess, you're basing this on a book that was written thousands of years ago and has been retranslated so many times that I'd be willing to bet good money the original meaning and words have been lost many times over aren't you? That being the case, no, I don't believe in a hell or just about anything else in that book.

  no blood cards this year!

  last night at meeting they told us to just use our blood cards from last year.

  in the past they've always told us how important it was to get it signed every year so that people could see our current views as jw's.....doesn't this new arangement negate everything they've ever said in regards to this?

  Hate the movie. Can't stand watching it at home by myself. Absolutely love seeing it love in large groups!!!!! One of the most fun nights of my life included going to large (as in hundreds of people) showing of it and the night didn't end until about 10am the next morning. I still get warm thoughts thinking about it.

  i think that this post by namewithheld sums up, to my mind at least, the biggest difference between an exjw and a current jw: a flippant attitude about past (and current, for that matter) wrongs.

  when you can no longer glibly pass over other peoples pain at the hands of brothers, is when you can no longer be a part of god's one true (not) organization.

  Spying

  recently i read a thread where someones e-mails had been hacked by local elders.

  i have been e-mailing with a very nice person who has started 'independently thinking' lately.

  because of this thread i wrote her that she should be careful of people finding her e-mails.. the very next day her husband had hacked into her e-mails and was very upset.. i was just wondering for all of you- how many have experiences like this?.

  Hacking requires skill. You have to know the technical side of computers before you can do anything to them. Having someone read your email after you give them your password is not hacking. True, hacking is easier if you have a password but you don't have to have it to hack. That's just being nosey. It would be hacking if that person took your password, and somehow set your mail up so that anytime you got an email with the word Jehovah in it to be forwarded to your local elders as well as automatically send all of your messages to them too (which is possible if you have the right programs).

  INFORMAL WITNESSING

  i've got a bunch of those sl printouts, and i've got one pasted to a window in my work vehicle.

  posted one at the supermarket by my house, but noticed the other day that it had been taken down.

  gotta replace it.. several weeks ago, a car load of 'hovahs pulled up next to me at a convenience store to get their lunch while out in service.

  I've actually been contact by a few people who had family members who were beginning to go into the cult who I was able to help stop them from going in. I never brought anyone in when I was a JW but have been able to stop people from getting deeper and actually get out so I'm actually ahead in the game!
