i've done a little research since leaving the wts and am having difficulty sorting out what i really believe in.
after some studying of different faiths and their doctrines, i find i can relate to the jewish faith....except i do believe in jesus.
so i found out about this faith called jews for jesus.

Personally, I thought this was hilarious. I would have liked to have done something like this but for various reasons I don't think going to the memorial this year would have been the best idea for me.

Damn it, I cannot tell you how much I hated having a meeting on Thursday night just for that very reason. I don't even know how many times I missed the very beginning of a meeting because I wanted to watch the ending of Friends.

i know that the dub's view is that it is totally wrong.
i live in an area where the majority of people think it is wrong.
i don't think it is wrong (but i am not a homosexual).
I can understand excercising self control when it actually matters like in the case of a married person not acting on their feelings because of how it would effect their spouse. You'd still have those feelings even though you don't act on them. In the case of someone who is not in a committed relationship however where is self control needed? Granted, I'm not saying go out and screw anything that walks but why not enter into a loving relationship with a members of the same sex if that's the way you're so inclined? I just can't see the harm of loving someone no matter what each person's respective sexes are.

now i understand completely that most in this forum are 100% against jws and the watchtower.
what i don't understand is the disrespect that has been shown for such a sacred occasion that is the memorial (last supper).
whether you agree with jws or not, the fact is that the last supper has a lot of meaning for christians.
Why the disrespect? Easy. Why the respect?

there was almost one in every watchtower and books such as "live forever" had chapters devoted to the subject.
i think there was a picture of some lonely guy looking out to sea across a sunset with that typical witness depressed but joyfull look.. any way, i was thinking to myself after finding such an article on the web that i haven't been pre-occupied by such questions since leaving the borg.
