  Who will go to heaven?

  i know that jw's say only 144,000. however, i just read a book called "as time runs out" by robert jeffress and he claims that all christians who have received jesus will be picked up at the rapture.

  but, he says, we will not all have the same rank in heaven.

  he claims that different responsibilities will be assigned.

  Yeah, the oh so wonderful scientific knowledge that's so far ahead of its time in the bible is proof enough to believe in it. Yes, the earth was created in six days. The order of things appearing over those six days is right on the money. If you just look at the beginning of the bible for scientific proof of how wonderful and inspired the bible is you can get a pretty good idea of accurate it is.
  If this is supposed to be gods instruction book to man kind then why would you need to figure anything out? Why would he make such an important book so vague and hard to understand? If I'm going to write an instruction manual for a VCR I'm not going to write the instructions with a bunch of symbolism or in ways that people have to search for ways to understand. I'd be a horrible writer and would lose my job in a heartbeat for it. That's a manual for something rather insignificant and unimportant. If its a manual for something so important as my eternal life I want something plain and simple that's not hard to find or understand. When god (in whatever form you may believe) sends a clear, easy to understand, readily available message to all of mankind I'll believe it. Until that time I'll not devote my life to following something that no one can completely understand.

  My girlfr and I went to the Assembly Hall today

  5 years removed from being inside the indianapolis assembly hall of jehovah's witnesses, 4 years from attending a meeting at the kingdom hall, this morning my girlfriend and i walked into the assembly hall.

  we were taking an early morning walk in our jogging clothes in downtown indy.

  she asked if there was anywhere i'd like to go.

  Family name doesn't ring a bell. What were their kids names? Do you know which hall they went to? I'm mainly familiar with people from the NW and some SW.

  when so much peopel say jw is a cult,comperd to the most religions we are very diffrent yes.. but if we go back to christ and was he was teching,you must say this was a cult to, he was telling he was the only one, a remark as you say on a cult, he was saying he come from the lord also a remark as you say,he was telling you must obey him also a remark on a cult as you say, he say if you dont se him as the son of the lord you have no life ,also a remark on a cult as you say,and he say he give his follower power from heaven, oups this is a very bigg remark on a cult.. littel confusing isnt is?

  The difference between cults and religion is the number of people. If enough people think something is normal it becomes normal. Why do we still have religion. Its vastly outlived its purpose.

  1. purchased by the wts - a nice big official looking notice that the wts had made an offer i couldn't resist for the forum and i had sold it to them ... .

  New blood policy

  i just got the newest copy of the watchtower and in it there's new light!

  as it turns out they have a new understanding of the scripture at psamls 156;23 and because of it accepting blood transfusions is now a matter of conscience.

  their reasoning behind it is that apparently it was revealed to the gb that to keep numbers up it would be best to allow this matter to be a conscience decision because too many of the current members were dying off because of this and they want to keep their numbers up.

  I'm with Naeb. I never believed in heaven but since some guy wrote a book about it as well as talked about the different levels of it then I guess I'll just have to throw all logic out the window and believe what he says. Whew!!! I'm glad I read this thread! I might have been a janitor in heaven sweeping up after the great big parties with the apostles up there. Then again, if the work will be fulfilling no matter what you do I guess the whole thing about worrying about what class I'd be in is kind of pointless. We are so lucky this guy died, went up to heaven, checked it all out, took good notes, and came back to tell us about it. Not only that but he was able to sneak a peak at god's datebook and see that there's going to be this great big rapture bringing all christians up to heaven. Why haven't more people heard of this man and his wonderful book yet? Surely someone who has had such an amazing experience should be famous! I mean, no one in the entire history of man have been able to do anything other than give a guess as to what happens after we die and not only did this guy come back, he figured out the class system of heaven, took notes, and even snuck a peak at god's datebook while he was gone.

  I once stole all of my wife's underwear and hid it. When I was younger I wired my parents bedroom so that whenever you turned on the lights polka music played. Today all that's going on is lots of toothpaste on the light switches.

  Alright! Another Hoosier apostate. I'm down in Evansville but head up to Indy every couple of months to take my son to Riley.
  Don't sweat the thought about every going back. Its like saying you might like to go back to getting analy gang raped by hairy midgets (sorry if that has happened to you or if you're a hairy midget into group sex). You may go back to where it happened but you certainly wouldn't want to go through it again.
