why did jesus do miracles?.
it is alledged that some 2000 years ago a man claimed to be the son of god , or even god himself (depends what religion you are).. in order to give some weight to his cliam he did some miracles, cured a few lepers, made a slap up lunch out of some fish and bread, and took a walk on some water.. all this to prove he was gods son.. but to prove it to who?.
if you ask a witness why god doen't perform miracles today , what do they say.. we don't need miracles today we have it all written in the bible.. der.

If the Bible proves the existence of God, comic books prove the existence of Superman.
Hahahahaha, that is good!!! I'm remembering that one the next time someone tries to prove anything about the christian god and/or Jesus by talking about the bible.
I decided to do some research a while back because I was sure that the entire bible was a fake. I'm glad I did the research, because I found out the opposite!
Funny because I was sure the bible was right and was trying to learn more about it and because of that search I've now become an atheist.
So tell us, where can one find those 300 or so prophesies from before Christ?

i am aware of false religious doctrines in the w.t.s.. i never really considered the possibility of others also being manipulated by different religious organizations.. i work with a woman who is very devout in her beliefs.
the women in her church are not permitted to use birth control, cut their hair, wear makeup or wear jewelry.
they may sing but no music or musical instruments are permitted.
Back when I was in college I spent a lot of time in the University of Evansville dorms with one of my friends who went there and his roommater was from a town where amish people are the majority. Just for the record, amish can, in fact, have DC power but not AC (basically batteries are ok but not stuff that comes from the wall). What was really funny was he would talk about all the teenage amish kids. You know how you'll see the kids with big stereo systems with so much bass you can feel it a few blocks away? That comes from DC power. Apparently some of the kids from his town would put huge, loud, and fancy sound systems in their buggies. He said you'd here a low noise coming from far away at first and eventually it would get louder as their buggies would get closer.

Actually, come to think about, using your reasoning it would be quite easy to say that I'm a JW too.
i was thinking today that many of us ex-dubs are fairly capable of holding our own when conversing with an active witness about anything jw related.
if we dont have an immediate answer, it isnt difficult to find a ex-jw website that has a lot of good information we could use for finding an answer fairly quickly.
having said this though, i think there are some questions that a jw could ask you that might be a lot tougher to answer, websites or not.
As far as giving the JW's an answer that will send them running back to the kingdumb hall I say go for it. All I know is I'm considered very evil by JW's. I could try to change that by showing how kind and loving I am but the truth of the matter is I don't really care what they think of me because it just doesn't matter. It just comes down to my enjoyment; which way they could beheave would be more fun for me? Have them think I'm evil and just be uncomfortable around me or have them think I'm evil and be so frightened they go running away? I'm going to chose the latter of the two. Also, by doing that, I show people who never got involved with the JW's how crazy they are.
Hey, if I can stop a few people from ever getting involved with the JW's and have a good laugh while I'm at it, I'm going to do it!!!
some of you might remember i posted my thoughts on why, after years of shunning, and me continually trying to establish contact with the jw relatives that do this, i finally decided it was healthier for me to let them go and stop doing that.
this was especially true in the case of my younger brother, who was more like a best friend.
we spent a lot of time together before my extricating myself from the watchtower, including vacations and lots of weekends.
Um, one quick correction to your post Zanex, the correct wording should be "fuck that cult." Calling those phycho's a religion gives them more credit than they deserve.

You know, of all the people accusing someone else of having a Puny god I think its hilarious that Yadirf, would be doing this. I would say its like the pot calling the kettle black but somehow that just doesn't quite do it justice.
