The Plurality of God in Old Testament

i am not going to claim to be any kind of bible expert or a good writer or anything like that but do you ever notice how the wts has completely whitewashed this idea or anything relating to this..

from the beginning of the bible in the beginning god said let us make man in our own image , to the term elohim which literally means gods , to the angel of the lord in the old testament which is identified to being with god and god himself.

it is just kind of interesting when you read the book of john in the new testament and you start to read things like the word was with god and the word was god or no one has seen the father only the son it kind of makes sense without really fully understanding it.

What did Paul mean by using these quotes ?

Now a well-trained JW would be over a statement like that how can you faith in something you don’t fully understand? I am not really sure I do but I tend to prefer to look at the intent of the authors and I do believe there was a belief in the plurality of god.

Please save the atheist/agnostic comments about the bible. You people are more annoying than uber dubs. Yeah we get it, we know how you feel.

Campaign to Israel

i have been wanting to introduce myself but i don't know where to begin.

my husband and i are enjoying our third guilt-free weekend of our lives (both born-in, almost 30).

he has been out mentally for the last year and a half but patiently waited for me to come around.

So the WTS basically want everyone to go to Israel go door to door and say

Serving in the military is wrong, even though your survival as a people depends on it.
The term Jew in the new testament actually means spirit anointed Christian in which god has chosen seven magical men in Brooklyn New York represent him.

How there is a single JW all of Israel just blows me away. But we were in the holocaust together. You went to the Ovens and we babysit the SS kids, same thing.

The only reason JW want to go to Israel is so they can hide under the guise of being evangelical Christians and spew there poison.

I find no matter how complex WTS theology is, you can always seem to pin it down to one or two sentences that have no bibical basis what so ever.

1. There is no such thing as " Spiritual Israel ".

2. No where does it say the member in the new covenant is limited.

The Old testament is the story of god and the jews and a series of convenants which made them gods people. Long story short the new testament is the story of the transfer of this convenant to the "church " the body of christ. Gods final arrangement with mankind to have a relationship with him though Jesus Christ. Believe it or not, that is the story of christianity

Trashed WT's found in Dr.s' waiting room Friday. Do you trash literature you find?

took the magazines in the waiting room and dumped them in the trash.

was a great feeling.

to think many witnoids wont dare throw out the surplus magazines they have in stacks around the house is amazing.

I like to go the the Salvation Army thrift store and pick out the JW literature from the book section and give it to the Captain so it can be disposed of. It is kind of a hobby of mine.

What a bunch of pompous assholes. Donating their books to an evanglical church. Real classy considering what they say about them behind there backs.

I remember last December I went to a JW wing ding. It was for anyone under the age of 40. Lots of good food, played some games etc etc. I remember thinking, oh FFS this is a Christmas party. They even had the booze just flowing.

Yet my wife can’t come to my Christmas party at work. JWs really are some self-righteous pricks.

I remember one time having an argument with a witness and he was like “Why do families have to get to together only at Christmas, why can’t everyday be Christmas “. I told him it is because in the business working world families have limited time and it is a great time because most businesses are closed.

He was like “Oh, I never really thought of that “. We all know the real views of JWs on Christmas are more about trying place a wedge between you and your worldly family ( Allah I hate that word ).

Do JW do family reunions ?? I am guessing no.

Guarding the Kingdom Hall on Halloween

a. have you ever been called to do this ??.

b. does it count as field service.. c. what are you suppose to do if you catch someone throwing eggs at the kingdom hall.

run them down and beat them up ??

That reminds me when I was about 12 years old, I was just shortly after christmas and people were throwing out their old christmas trees ( when people still used natural trees ). We took like 6-8 old rotten christmas trees and placed them on the Kingdom Hall lawn and decorated them with garbage. We even managed to get them to stand up.

We also christmas carolled a Kingdom Hall during a tuesday night meeting. They called the police. We just played dumb and pretended we didn't know.

LOL

We were rotten kids.
