The Revelation book had to be studied 3 times during book-studies. I believe over a period of about 5 years we went through this book three times and still I hardly understood it. LOL

avoiding apostates letter
by galaxy7 inthis is the first installment of my bible study actually a long letter about apostates its about 6 pages long.
i guess this is a warning however its an interesting read.if you would like me to post the other pages let me know
pleasant memories invariably come to mind when we as christians reflect on the time when we first learned the'.

My Grandmothers Funeral/memorial
by FirstInLine inmy old jw grandmother passed away recently so i went to the demon er dingdong i mean kingdumb hall for the memorial.
and the dupes er fools i mean bafoons kept throwing the word truth around like 12 year olds say dude.. most of them assumed i was also a fellow dub.
my grandparents are and my mom is so i guess its natural to assume full heredity of foolishness.

SNG, I often wonder if you would have the same reaction on Sept 12th, 2001. Just imagine if Gore would have been President, who knows how many tall skyscrapers would still be left in the US? The terrorists would then have a field day and instead control us and the world would be unsafe. Bush is doing the right thing - although not perfect - and shows leadership and resolve to deal with the terrorists appropriately.

Do discussion boards have any healing effect?

i read somewhere else of the thought that discussion boards for ex-dubs, are not the place to heal unless there is proffesional help onboard.

I find this discussion board very helpful, as you can relate to the people who have had a similar experience by having been a JW before. When you mention your experiences to a person who has never been a Witness, they will just not completely understand. It's that deeper bond and connection that we have because most of us come from the same background and that helps immensely, both psychologically and emotionally.
By the way, LyinEyes, I see that you are often posting during the very early hours in the morning. Do you ever sleep? LOL. I know your time in Louisiana is 1hour behind me - I am from the Montreal area in Canada. I like to get up very early in the morning as I work from home. Just wondering...

I threw out all of my bound volumes and most of my hard-cover books for recycling. I did not want to give these to anybody - was afraid to confuse or poison anybody with this Watchtower apostasy. The only publications I kept for reference purposes are: Proclaimers book, Insight book, All Scripture Inspired, the Reasoning book, NWT bible and the 1969 purple Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures (showing how the WTS deliberately changed translation from Greek).

"Lost in Translation" (with Bill Murray)
by LittleToe inwhile i was away on a recent road trip i had the opportunity to nip into a cinema to kill a couple of hours.
having see everything i wanted to see, during the week, i decided to watch the only thing that was starting at that time "lost in translation".
i didn't know anything about it, other than that it was going to help me bide my time, away from home.. i groaned inwardly, when i saw bill murray hit the screen, as i'm not especially a fan.. however, i was deeply moved by what was portrayed, along with the japanese neo-cultural explosion that was evidenced.. i hope this doesn't mean i'm reaching a mid-life crisis, however i found it profoundly disturbing.. http://www.bestofneworleans.com/dispatch/2003-09-30/film_review2.html.

That's why I think Bill Murray may win the Oscar for best actor. The others? Well, Charlize Theron for best actress in the movie "Monster"; Peter Jackson for best director and The Return of the King as best movie. Just my opinion...

And now the following announcement which is also to be read to all congregations worldwide:
There will be an official Judicial Committee Meeting consisting of six longstanding elders from various congregations in order to commence proceedings against the members of the Governing Body who have sinned gravely. The Meeting will be scheduled to start on February 27, 2004, to be held at Patterson, New York. In the event that disfellowshipping is necessary on part or on all the members of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, the brothers in charge will have to select new members by proxy to facilitate a smooth transaction procedure.
Trusting that you will understand the gravity of this sin against all the congregations as well as against Jehovah God, the members of the Governing Body will remain as elected until Feb 27, 2004, at which time they will be dissolved to make place for capable and God-loving men.

Little do they know that this letter written by the Watchtower is in actual fact APOSTATE. Sadly, the Witnesses do not recognize that their organization is utterly corrupt in every facet of life: spiritually, morallly while being dishonest and deceiving. Satan the devil uses his (other) spirit to direct his organization (Watchtower) to completely deceive people. It certainly is a case of the blind leading the blind, for no wonder, Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. Satan is so supernaturally intelligent that he is easily able to deceive the R & F into believing that they are the only ones on earth meriting "holiness" and that their organization is backed by God. Satan wants them to believe that because then they will be at his side. The interesting thing is, that when JW's leave the Witnesses, they usually do not turn to God at all or do not want to be affiliated with any Christian group by studying the scriptures properly. They are angry and despondent and want nothing to do with God, which suits Satan fine as then they are still on his side...
