What my life was like when I was in high school (a very short read)

when i went to high school, we had mostly white students but in my nearby congregation, we had mostly black congregation with some very few white folks.

i felt different back then.

the other deaf brother in my congregation can't read or write.

Can someone please explain why I'm NOT DF'd yet???

i have been sending one "apostate" email after another to an elder in my congo (who frequently does circuit and district convention parts) and i'm still not df'd.... i've even sent him a free pdf copy of "crisis of conscience" twice in the last 3 months (sorry cynthia franz), as well as emails about the whole spectrum of bullshit (607, 144k, 1935, blood, proof of lies, false predictions, etc...).

he vary rarely responds but i know he's reading them because he said so in a recent google chat.... he even acknowledged that the wt got 607 wrong but then says that i should look at the positives and stop finding fault.... but still... i sent some really strong gb-bashing emails and i'n not df'd.... i mean seriously, i've pushed the envelope as far as i possibly can.. what the hell is going on???

He probably isn't reading them, although he should have taken action after the first one, if he got it. Some people never check their spam filter.

I'd say save yourself some trouble and DA yourself.

Need help...Letter from m-i-l calling us apostates

we got a letter from my mother-in-law today (3 hand-written pages).

i will type it for you and hope that you can help me reply to it.

this is the whole letter exactly.. first a little background.

That's a sad letter.

I left the organization abruptly and didn't really give my family a chance to respond. They didn't communicate with me except once when my mother was going to have a heart valve replacement. This occurred about a year after I had left. I could tell that both my brother and mother were angry with me and hurt.

I write to them a couple of times a year to let them know I'm still alive as I'm sure they love me and worry about me despite their blind allegiance to the Society.

Four years after the phone call, my mother sent me a letter (that shocked me to my shoes) and in it she said, "You're old enough to know what you want. Just be careful."

I gathered from that statement that she had made peace with the situation and really just wanted me to be happy.

No letters since. Probably my brother found out about it and read her the riot act.

I suspect that your MIL will eventually get used to the change in her relationship with you. It will just take some time.

we all wonder who he is, but he had the full 30min service meeting this week... there were some predictably shocking comments from the congregation, all based around how you cannot possibly give your best to jehovah while coach is screaming for your best, cue scripture: "cannot serve two masters".. of course nobody says that it's just a made up story, nope, guilt the kids out of their dreams why dont ya.

Holy cats! Sure, spend your life riding around in a car rounding up new cult members, don't follow your dreams. A New Language

i remember years ago cos telling the congregation how important it was to know the "new language" because we would be identified by it and it could save us when the end came.

they gave examples like "rendezvous for service" which was popular at the time.
